The Bible says if you love me, you'll obey, but I'm sure this does not apply to traffic violation that's why in a two week period I received three speeding tickets and a warning. Two in one day and since the first of this year I have received six various traffic tickets. Recently I've laid my driving at the cross and asked Jesus to change this part of me!!

What is the worst speeding ticket you have ever gotten/dumbest thing you have done in a car? I just got my first one the other day, it was a six point ticket costing 136 bucks. Turns out that cop thought 67 in a 45 was just a bit too fast...

When I first got my car I decided I should test it out and see just how fast I could get the ol' girl going... So one night while driving on a highway, I floored it for a little while and when I looked at the speedometer, I realized that I had buried the needle at 125. Wow was that frightening/dumb.
wow.. 6 points plus $136! where are you from again? I am from NY and i was doing 77 in a 55 and i got 4 points and had to pay $90. i thought that was bad!! :)

I've never had a speeding ticket thankfully. I have to drive for 30mins to get to college every day, and so it can be very tempting to speed to get there quicker.

I used to speed a lot, but now i've stopped. I cant be doing God's Will when speeding. I thank Him every day for the protection and safety He gives me when i'm out and about, and i believe that by speeding i don't deserve His protection as i can't be doing His will.

Lol, I live in Colorado. Oh yeah, I forgot to mention this... The cop who radared (don't know if that's a word) me was driving towards me. I had no idea they could do that, but apparently they can. Don't make the same mistake as me. :)

I've been fortunate and have never even been pulled over, although I should have been many times. I've found out on more than one occasion that my car is electronically limited to 108 MPH, and I've 100 in 30 MPH zones before.

That's my submission for dumbest.

I can also do rum runner's U-Turns, though. Those are fun!

shame on you all....j/k! :D

Actually I have only got pulled over once for going 48 in a 35. I didn't get a ticket though, which is really a surprise since the place where i got pulled over makes money off of speeding tickets! I only sped because I wasn't for sure where I was  and usually country roads can go from 45 to 55.

I usually stay the speed limit, only 5 over if I really have to be some where. There are a lot of idiot drivers out there on the roads who get mad over people like me who do the speed limit
You see in Ohio we have what is called a point system! Not only do you get fined but you get points. So many and you loose your Driver's license.

Got a ticket the other day......Darn I was laughing so hard at all of my friends who had been pulled over. I don't get it. I used to pay $300.00 a month before my ticket, and now I pay $180.00....
I guess I was lucky....75 in a 55, and I held back saying, "BAD COP, NO DONUT" (I had a dozen donuts that so happened to be plainly visible in the back seat.)

Raced a 745il one time, I was in a 760il .......113mph in 50, and the other guy got pulled over. ........he he he.......wouldn't want to pay his fine.

The stupidest thing I ever did was drive around in my car w/ outdated registration by a month or two. I was so stupid I even did it twice in one day. It's a good thing we have all those cops out there w/ nothing better to do than pull me over both times for it.

Too bad there isn't a sarcastic smiley.

Lets see here I got into an accident on my first solo tim eout ( I met a guy from England driving on the wrong side of the road, I went into the dich and so did he)

First ticket 38 in a 25......second 77 in a 55 (should have been about 90, about two counties back) in a 85 s-10 with a 2.5l. cost only $101.00 .

The dumbest thing that I have done was~~ I was coming up to a railraod crossing and the sign said SLOW!! 15 mph. I said to myself yeah right....
I hit it about 45, I caught so much air in that thing I thought that I had broken that frame in half when I landed. (felt like the Dukes of Hazzard). Never do that again.

I reguarlly go about 140 on my bike. Heck its still one one gear left. :)

I take off ramps at 90-100 every time i go out. Its just too much fun not too. Strangely i've never been pulled over on the bike. I think around here they let bikers get away w/alot. Its sort of assumed we're punks. :)
good godfry! Remind me not to ask you for a ride! ^_^

One ticket for 64 in a 40. About $140 or somewhere around there, took def. driving for about $90. What's a point BTW? I found my Chevy s-10 tops out at 100 MPH.

Dumbest thing? Doing donuts on the beach and then running over a stump at about 25 MPH.

Normally i don't go more than 5 or 10 over unless i'm responding for my local VFD with lights, then it's legal to speed :)

(Texas vol. fire fighters can have red lights & sirens on personal vehicles while responding to fire call)

I'm lucky enough to have never been pulled over, although I have come close quite a few times now. 2 or 3 times now I spotted a cop, but the poor unfortunate soul ahead of me didn't and continued to speed and got pulled over instead of me. Another time I was going about 70-75 in a 55 going northbound on the hwy and the cop had his radar pointed towards the people coming southbound. Lucky for me.

The dumbest thing, probably happened today. I left my lights on and killed the battery. So it wasn't completely dumb, but I felt stupid when my engine would turn on. Oh another thing dumb I did was switch places with my friend while driving about 55 mph. Luckily nothing bad happened, it was actually a quite successful switch. But to think of what could have happened...yeah, probably shouldnt' have done that. But that was when I had just gotten my license a few months prior and at a young reckless age of 16. :D Now being 18 I'm so much wiser....umm, anyways so yeah. :D

The cops said you were racing? Well, were you? I take it from your post that you don't believe you actually violated any laws?

I'm trying to shape up my driving. I commute now 5 days a week to college, 1 hour one way. I carpool with 2 others (4 starting next week) so I've rode with my share of bad drivers. I sometimes wonder if I'll make it through the year alive!
