If you have no logical basis for your aversion to homosexuality it would, by definition, be irrational. There will be, of course, a large amount of disagreement on what is logical. Personaly I don't think "I believe my God disproves of homosexuality" to be rational. Quite obviously others disagree.

By it being voluntary only, invites those who only have "skin in the game", to have a reason to reply.
Like those who may be homosexual and those who have been offended by the homosexuals. Anyone else would have had to set aside more important duties to take the time for this "voluntary" survey.

Actually, the way it worked was troops were randomly selected and got a letter in the mail. They were then prompted to put in a unique code that wasn't tied to your name but made sure there was one result per servicemember. It was voluntary in the way you didn't have to respond if you didn't want to, not in the way that it was just sitting there waiting for people to take it. The survey didn't take any longer then 20 minutes to complete. If people didn't do the survey, then I'm pretty sure they don't care about the gays one way or the other, which only supports letting open gays being the military. So what is your point exactly?

I can help you with this question.

Soldiers are discharged for drug and alcohol abuse all the time. Most are offered help first.

Soldiers with fits of rage that are above and beyond normal anger are usually given counseling and if they don't get their stuff together, discharged.

Hatred - if this becomes an issue that interferes with a solider's performence or is a mental health problem he/she will usually be referred for counseling and if they don't get it together they will be discharged

Impurity - this one's rediculous and doesn't deserve a reply

You might want to read a little more carefully, since Jesus never said a single word on sexual orientation.

He did, however, eat and stay with the filth of society - the ones the conservative religious folk were too good to be around. History seems to be repeating itself. Which gives me very strong reason to believe Jesus is disgusted by right wing Christianity. He would never approve of treating gays the way you guys do.

No it isn't. Science starts with a hypothesis, experiments, and then studies the results. A survey is just polling opinions. It's not science.
