I was recently on the street up until about a year ago.
I slept in cars, sheds, and squat in an abandoned house many times, I also did a lot of things I wouldn't have done if it weren't for the sake of surviving.
It's a hard way to go, especially at first. But eventually you get used to it and that's when you start to wither- when you fall into a routine as the months go.
Take my advice brother- if you find yourself out there, you get into a program or shelter, don't try to go it alone because you'll likely either drink or freeze yourself to an early casket.
I nearly did it myself; there was a mixture of shame and anger that took me over and I vouched to just do what was easy rather than what was needed.
