Genesis 1:21
21And God created great whales, and every living creature that moveth, which the waters brought forth abundantly, after their kind, and every winged fowl after his kind: and God saw that it was good.

I'm pretty sure God knew what He was doing when He made everything.

So he created a creature with the capability of creating new species, but we aren't allowed to do it?

I didn't say that, I said that I hope those who are doing it will honor Him. Don't you see clearly that man without God in His life is only interested in its own best interests? Whereas a man with God in His life is interested in God's best interests. What about terminator 3? Do you think making one of those would be honoring God?

I asked you before how you are supposed to do what they did with the yeast while honouring god. What would they do differently?

I don't have a problem with what they did with the yeast! I have a problem with some imaginary thing they might do in the future.

Yes, we have known multi-cellular organisms can come from single-celled ones because evolution depends on it, and for the first time, we have been able to actually see it and know 100% that it can happen naturally.

I don't really see this having any sort of impact on the creation vs evolution debate, really. They did something cool in a lab. That doesn't say anything about what did or did not happen 6,000 years ago or whenever people are dating the creation. There's just no logical connection between the two.

It doubts creation because it is further evidence to a contradicting theory.

God made me but my parents did also. So I would say God is the first and continuing cause of existance, but generally lets the physical laws be the direct influence of what exactly happens.

Yep, just reading more about evolution, I agree with what you say here. Sad I never learned (or just plain forgot) about this at school.

You didn't learn evolution in school or you didn't learn that specific part?

Not really. Young Earth Creationism says that God created all life in a standard week. It doesn't say that life can't evolve after that.

I think you'll be hard pressed to find a YEC that believes in macro-evolution.

I have a very faint memory of it, but I am not proud of the attitude I had in school, many classes were skipped etc. just let's say I don't understand it but from the little reading I've been doing it seems like a very plausible and reliable theory for the origin of life. I'm out of my depth here, please go easy on me.

Haha, I see. I don't say this is an arrogant and/or obnoxious way, but I can see that when you say "Theory for the origin of life." Just fyi, evolution says nothing on the origin of life; just what happens after it.

I put my hand up at this stage.

How are the two compatible?

Thank you, I really must devote more time to this.

Considering how much power is required for the universe, I just don't think anything is too hard for God. I think if He wanted a world that is 4 billion years old, He wouldn't need to wait 4 billion years to see it. And He's told us that He made it in 6 days, so I'm not going to argue with Him.

So, wait. You believe the Earth is ~4 BYO, but you also believe that it was created in six days?

I think most YECs would believe what happened in the lab, but don't believe that has any bearing on the creation. And such people would be right, because there are a lot of things that can be done in a lab today, that can't be proven to have happened however many centuries ago.

Yep, so which one is a delusion? Well, lucky for you I'm not a gambler, but I'm choosing to trust what God says. We'll both know the absolute truth before too long anyway. Keep playing with your test tubes, you evolutionist's are doing some fantastic work for God's little ant farm!
