Seeking God's Will
I'm going to try that flame burst trick when I get back to my mage. I love the flames spell...
Finally settled on a character after making a ton of different types. A Khajiit female. Mostly sneak thief type. Archery,Stealth, Light Armor, etc.
Lvl 37 and going back and forth between side stuff and the mainquest. Did some side stuff but waiting for 40 before I go into the guilds to get the best of the leveled items in the game. Just started thieves guild and am now on the second quest in that line. A little of the Daedric quests, though just working on Azura's so far. Btw I would recommend that one as a quest to do early if you are thinking of using Enchanting heavily. It's great for money and the utility of the star is pretty awesome.
Decided to slowly level smithing, keeping it in range of my combat skills. Mostly by after coming back to home base in Whiterun for loot selling. I'd use the leather I'd collect and whatever other raw material I had to upgrade the armor before I sold it. It levels Smithing at a more even pace. Combined with hiting certain crafting spots it's more natural.
Currently got Thieves Guild Armor, A set of Glass armor with a glass dagger, bow, sword, a set of foresworn armor just for kicks, and the Blades set for when I want to level heavy armor.
Perhaps annoyingly getting to at least Smithing 60 is almost necessary if you want a lot of the unique enchanted items you get here and there from getting obselete.
Also found out two neat things recently. Using the early flames spell as a mage in bursts is not only much more mana effecient than holding the button down. It also helps with damage because the game doesn't calculate and display damage from the spell for some reason if you hold the button down. At least it does on the 360. Also learned that using the 10-1 value to weight ratio when trying to decide what items to pick up and not to is very very useful. Though in the early game it's not a horrible idea to pick up most of what you find.
And lastly....the Nord Hero armor actually looks good, just wish it wasn't such low level.
Lots of plot twists...I love that.Oooh the plot thickens. I've just done the diplomatic immunity quest and I like how there is a twist.
If you like twists and you haven't done this one yes, it's a must.

I'm pretty sure leather bracers do the same job. But I'm not next to a forge to verify that.Best way to level smithing is to make as many iron daggers as possible. Your level increases by the same amount regardless of what you make, and iron daggers are the cheapest and therefore most economic way to level up smithing.![]()
