Well, it has been brought to my attention that my ban is not as 'imminent' as I first thought. Apparently I misunderstood the mod PM I was sent so I went back and re-read it. It is only the RV I get from this point on that will count towards a sitewide.

Oops. :sorry:

So, looks like I am still around, at least for now. I will keep this thread open in case a future RV brings on the banning love.

I have three infractions right now. A fourth will put the nail in my coffin.

I am probably foolish for revealing this info to my detractors, because they will now intensify thier baiting efforts to get that last RV. So, I expect to get a flood of spite-reports from this point on.

Let the games begin.
Well, that's a good thing, right? ;)

At least you didn't get it confused the other way and find yourself banned before you expected it. :p It's like added bonus time this way. Hehe.

Blessings and Love,
Sarah

Only one of my favourite movies of all time!

My two greatest influences: Maximus and William Wallace!

That reminds me of when we studied Rome in grade 3. I was so scarred. When I heard about the "Animal Shows" I excepted it was like..cute things. Tigers parading around and such. Then they go and tell us they starved the animals so they would attack the people.

I guess we've come a long way...at least our violence is fake on tv now..

I hate to disagree with you Sarah, but even "fake violence" leaves an indelible mark on the mind. If you think you were frightened as third grader just listening to the accounts of the Romans, what do you think the effect is on the mind of a young child who watches, and listens, to the re-enactment of those events?

Respectfully, your brother in Christ,
Doc

I actually meant that kind of sarcastically. ;)

Yes, I do know the TV stuff is bad. My mom and I were recently discussing how it's changed even since I was young. We used to have decent family programming then! That was only like 10 years ago, too. Now, had I been that age, we don't know what we would have watched.

(PS @ Night. Mel rocks, although I don't like how seriously violent his newest movies have been. Passion of the Christ and that other one about the Myans. I simply can't watch them. :()

Hi once again Sarah,

I guess I'm going to have to find the time to post some of the clinical reasons that TV has the effects that it does on the human mind.

And you are absolutely correct in you assessment of how TV programing has gone downhill in just the last few years. However if you think what you have seen in your lifetime has become bad, just think what I have seen since TV was first broadcast for the public!

Your friend and brother in Christ,
Doc :sigh:

Oh, I can believe it. One of my favorite things is to watch the old shows and the old movies. We recently got a new TV station that shows only old movies, mostly from the 30s-70s. So that's really great. There are some really awesome ones.

Even the John Wayne ones we've seen recently. Sure there's some violence (a shoot out or a punch here or there) but it's not in any way graphic and is a lot more light hearted. Then there's the amazing old dance movies..and Bing Crosby..Dean Martin/Jerry Lewis...Cary Grant, oh and my favorite..James Stewart. :) (I could ramble on forever here)

Plus there's the stations that still show Bugs Bunny and such. Can't go wrong there. ;)

I actually don't mind violence in movies except when it describes torture or rape. I'm a big fan of medieval and classical war films. Yes I do remember Bugs Bunny crimson except I was a lot younger back then and they were just showing reruns of it.

Braveheart is one of my Medieval heros. It is because of his death and the later declaration of indepedence from Scotland that encouraged the American Revolution. Without William Wallace we may never have had a United States of America.

I've always had problems with gore, it gives me panic attacks/makes me pass out. So violence has never been a strong thing for me. Normally I just bury my head into a pillow and miss those scenes. Rofl. Thusly I tend to avoid most of today's, which is ironic because I love the job of criminal profiling and crime solving and such.

Windmill hasn't been here for awhile. No offense Wind but you may have a different opinion if you saw some of the things going on here.:sorry:
I really don't think I would. Theres a reason I'm not around. Somethings gotta give in this forum, because its the most worn-torn forum in all of CF. And I remember joining in the campaign to get it too..

I agree; this is a hard forum to read through and to want to stay at and do anything meaningful. Some have been repeating the same mistakes for years like this, in public. I for one won't be back here at all. This whole thing is disgusting.

Yes, it is truly sad, isn't it? The Trads have almost dominated the whole forum except in here. I have posted next to nothing out there for almost a month now due to itchy report fingers. Free tried to take a stand and challenge some things being claimed in the main area.

He was reported three times and attacked for his efforts.

Stormy, Ice, Free, Tall and Sophia are all but gone, engaging in other more open, tolerant discussion forums.

The Trads have almost totally fulfilled thier agenda to rule this place with the Trad mods leading the pack, TSDA flag triumphantly held high, rejoicing at the absence of those who finally got fed up with the intolerance and left for greener pastures. :sigh:

Well; I will sneak back to chat with you for a bit Night Eternal. You made me laugh when you said a few post ago something about "banning love." Can you tell me; I am really ignorant on all the "hip" talk. What is a "Trad?" And a "Prog?"

I just wanted to say that I stood up to anti-Gospel, anti-Biblical, anti-Jesus statements made on the main forum in the Daily Devotional thread and have been reported 4 times. So I may not be too far behind you Night!

I would rather be banned for a month from the TRAD-protected SDA boards on CF than banned from eternity for teaching heresy.

I make NO apologies for presenting Christ alone for salvation and for questioning the anit-Gospel rhetoric on the main board. I only wish/hope the mods were/are as concerned and willing to hold those who present the trash there accountable. I highly doubt they are (but still holding out hope!).

Anyway...there are plenty of lost people who have never heard the true Gospel of Jesus Christ. Maybe someday this forum will be open to it also...

...all in God's timing. I pray the veil will be lifted.

In Christ alone...
