Whats the point in not sinning if Jesus forgives everything ?

Welcome to the concept of moral hazard, whereby certain people will be more likely to engage in dangerous activity if they know they will be shielded from the repercussions of that activity. It’s like a kid who acts out because they know their parents will shield them from punishment if they get caught. The term became common vernacular following the economic collapse of 2008, but it applies to superficial “Christians” as well.

Part of salvation is repentance, and you can’t claim repentance if you’re out there willingly sinning because you think academic belief in Jesus gives you some ecclesiastical hall pass. In John 8:11 what did Jesus say to the woman he saved from being stoned for adultery? “Go now and leave your life of sin.” He didn’t tell her to bang half the town because she’s got a Jesus ticket to Heaven.

If you decide to live a life of sin what you are telling God is that you’re not interested in being with Him. You’re saying that you’d rather go your own way than His way. On judgement day, He may just give you what you want.

How does god handle murders ? Do Murders go to hell or can they be saved too ?

What does the Bible say?

Luke 23:40-43

40 But the other criminal rebuked him. “Don’t you fear God,” he said, “since you are under the same sentence? 41 We are punished justly, for we are getting what our deeds deserve. But this man has done nothing wrong.”

42 Then he said, “Jesus, remember me when you come into your kingdom."

43 Jesus answered him, “Truly I tell you, today you will be with me in paradise.”

Jesus is the only one who never sinned, but we're called to help people, the more you help the greater the reward, but here's some reading to do if you want to get to the truth.
Matthew chapter 4 verse 4
Jesus answered, "It is written: 'Man shall not live on bread alone, but on every word that comes from the mouth of God.'"
Romans chapter 1 verse 28
Furthermore, just as they did not think it worthwhile to retain the knowledge of God, so God gave them over to a depraved mind, so that they do what ought not to be done.

John chapter 8 verse 31,32
To the Jews who had believed him, Jesus said, " If you hold to my teaching, you are really my disciples. Then you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free.
2 John
9 Anyone who runs ahead and does not continue in the teaching of Christ does not have God; whoever continues in the teaching has both the Father and the Son.
Job chapter 23 verse 12
I have not departed from the commands of his lips; I have treasured the words of his mouth more than my daily bread.

Matthew 11
28 “Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. 29 Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. 30 For my yoke is easy and my burden is light.”
Luke chapter 21
33 Heaven and earth will pass away, but my words will never pass away.
Romans chapter 10
17 Consequently, faith comes from hearing the message, and the message is heard through the word about Christ.
Mark chapter 13
31 Heaven and earth will pass away, but my words will never pass away.
James chapter 1
25 But whoever looks intently into the perfect law that gives freedom, and continues in it—not forgetting what they have heard, but doing it—they will be blessed in what they do.
James chapter 4
8 Come near to God and he will come near to you. Wash your hands, you sinners, and purify your hearts, you double-minded.
Isaiah chapter 45 verse 19
I have not spoken in secret, from somewhere in a land of darkness; I have not said to Jacob's descendants, 'Seek me in vain.' I, the LORD, speak the truth; I declare what is right.
Jeremiah chapter 9
24 but let the one who boasts boast about this:
that they have the understanding to know me,
that I am the Lord, who exercises kindness,
justice and righteousness on earth,
for in these I delight,”
declares the Lord.
Jeremiah chapter 5 verse 1
5 “Go up and down the streets of Jerusalem,
look around and consider,
search through her squares.
If you can find but one person
who deals honestly and seeks the truth,
I will forgive this city.

My Mom forgives me faster than my Father, but
I don't set my dad on fire to test her.

Learning about forgiveness results in you
making better choices.

The demons believe in Jesus. Are they saved? (James 2:19)

Why should I be nice to those who love me? I mean, if they love me, doesn't that mean I can abuse them as much as I please?

Well, If you'd be mean to those who love you, at some point probably they will drop you.

What about Jesus ? Will he drop somebody who keeps sinning ?

First of all, sin is a permanent part of who you are. Asking someone to stop sinning is like asking blue to not be blue. So let's change the question.

If I tell those I love that I realize what I'm doing is wrong and I want to stop - that I'm resisting the desire to abuse - does that make a difference vs. saying, "Nah, I don't care. I'm just gonna do it."

Because forgiveness does not remove consequences. Every willful sin brings some kind of death. Not sinning is not about our relationship Christ, but our quality of life.

The Scripture below applies to those who are truly born again. When one is truly born again, they are protected from the world as well as themselves.

Heb.10 Verses 26 to 31

  1. [26] For if we sin wilfully after that we have received the knowledge of the truth, there remaineth no more sacrifice for sins,
[27] But a certain fearful looking for of judgment and fiery indignation, which shall devour the adversaries.
[28] He that despised Moses' law died without mercy under two or three witnesses:
[29] Of how much sorer punishment, suppose ye, shall he be thought worthy, who hath trodden under foot the Son of God, and hath counted the blood of the covenant, wherewith he was sanctified, an unholy thing, and hath done despite unto the Spirit of grace?
[30] For we know him that hath said, Vengeance belongeth unto me, I will recompense, saith the Lord. And again, The Lord shall judge his people.
[31] It is a fearful thing to fall into the hands of the living God.

...I think you and me are thinking about this in two different ways.

I was saying that the purpose of not sinning would be to avoid pain since sin brings only pain to the sinner and those afflicted by sin.

And the purpose of accepting Jesus is to repent of your sins, meaning to turn away from them.

If what you are getting at here is the false "have our cake and eat it too" "once saved always saved, no matter what we do" doctrine that's going around, then yes, it is absolutely false. I'd be terrified to even teach it. Love teaching against it. :) It's an end times lie designed to sooth the selfish into just what they want to hear, and for Satan to get as many as he can in the bag before the timer hits Zero.

It is far from biblical and falls flat on it's face in debate.

Galatians 5:19-21 said:
Now the works of the flesh are manifest, which are these; Adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lasciviousness, Idolatry, witchcraft, hatred, variance, emulations, wrath, strife, seditions, heresies, Envyings, murders, drunkenness, revellings, and such like: of the which I tell you before, as I have also told you in time past, that they which do such things shall not inherit the kingdom of God.

Sounds like a pretty good point to me ;)
