LoveGodsword: "According to the scriptures if we break anyone of God's 10 commandments we are guilty of breaking all of them according to
James 2:10-11"
You do realize LoveGodsword, every time you speak about the Sabbath ( in defense of the Sabbath and your religion based on the keeping of it) you use verses that do not say what you say, and not only is Sabbath missing from every reminder of what laws the Gentiles are to keep in Christs law, there is reminder of specific laws, such as coveting, lieing, stealing, adultery, obey mother and father, idolatry, blasphemy.
Another evidence is, all the laws, the lawless do predicted for the end of the world, contain all of the laws we are told in the new testament ( as Gentiles grafted into Israel in one new man of liberty and faith in the law of Christ) but, all that the wicked do, who pretend to hold belief in Christ in this ending time, never is Sabbath abuse taught as an offence the evil ones through the devil practice wrong.
Here are the ten for us to remember I guess..
- I am the Lord thy God: thou shalt not have strange Gods before me
- Thou shall not take the name of the Lord thy God in vain
- Remember to keep holy the Lord's Day
- Honour thy father and thy mother
- Thou shalt not kill
- Thou shalt not commit adultery
- Thou shalt not steal
- Thou shalt not bear false witness against thy neighbour
- Thou shalt not covet thy neighbour's wife
- Thou shalt not covet thy neighbour's goods
Here are two examples, of people, with a form of Godliness, in this ending time, and what wrongs they do, notice, as I said, the evidence proves, Sabbath breaking is not listed as one of the offences, so why do you insist it is LoveGodsword?
Fornication/covet neighbours wife is, not commit adultery is, coveteousness/covet neighbours goods is, to not honour father and mother is, to not kill/murder is, to take the Lords name in vain/haters of God is, covenant breakers/having other Gods before the Lord is, bearing false witness against neighbour is/ inventers of evil things.
Are can be found in the first example of Romans 1, but where s anything about Sabbath breaking?
Romans 1:29 Being filled with all unrighteousness, fornication, wickedness, covetousness, maliciousness; full of envy, murder, debate, deceit, malignity; whisperers,
30 Backbiters, haters of God, despiteful, proud, boasters, inventors of evil things, disobedient to parents,
31 Without understanding, covenantbreakers, without natural affection, implacable, unmerciful:
Repeated in 2 Timothy, coveting, disobedient to parents, covenant brerakers, false/bearing false witness, lovers of other than God/having other Gods before the Lord ( idols) but it is entirely the same always, Sabbath breaking is never witnessed as an offence done by people in the end of the world..
2 Timothy 3:2 For men shall be lovers of their own selves, covetous, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy,
3 Without natural affection, trucebreakers, false accusers, incontinent, fierce, despisers of those that are good,
4 Traitors, heady, highminded, lovers of pleasures more than lovers of God;
5 Having a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof: from such turn away.
If it comes under a remember of what the works of the flesh are, we would know that Sabbath breaking is wrong, you quote Romans yourself, and James, they do not contain sabbath either, Romans 13 contains:
Not do adultery,
Not kill,
Not steal,
Not bear false witness,
Not covet.
The other commandment must then include loving our neighbour as ourselves, which again is exactly what James teaches, and then not only Sabbath keeping is not listed as a commandment to be kept, it is not witnessed as a commandment of offence the ones who blaspheme Gods name now, at the end of the world, are doing.
Romans 13:9 For this, Thou shalt not commit adultery, Thou shalt not kill, Thou shalt not steal, Thou shalt not bear false witness, Thou shalt not covet; and if there be any other commandment, it is briefly comprehended in this saying, namely, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself.
James 2, is the royal law ( to the law of Christ to bear one anothers BURDENS)
To love our neighbour as ourselves, and love is not done by adultery, or killing, it is done by laying our lives down for the brothers, and not taking off of them what thy love the most ( their wife)
That separates law keeping, and faith in righteousness, as Sabbath keeping is not an act of love to bear your neighbours burdens, which is the faith of Christ, even as He did every day until the death, which example we follow..
James 2:8 If ye fulfil the royal law according to the scripture, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself, ye do well:
9 But if ye have respect to persons, ye commit sin, and are convinced of the law as transgressors.
10 For whosoever shall keep the whole law, and yet offend in one point, he is guilty of all.
11 For he that said, Do not commit adultery, said also, Do not kill. Now if thou commit no adultery, yet if thou kill, thou art become a transgressor of the law.
12 So speak ye, and so do, as they that shall be judged by the law of liberty.
13 For he shall have judgment without mercy, that hath shewed no mercy; and mercy rejoiceth against judgment.
As we see, we are without law, ( Sabbath was law) but we are under the law to Christ, and you will struggle hard to find Christ supporting Sabbath keeping, as the Pharisees tried to do that onto Christ, and He opposed them entirely ( as they are the faithless law keepers as we are taught, exampled and all know in the whole world)..
Galatians 6:2 Bear ye one another's burdens, and so fulfil the law of Christ.
1 Corinthians 9:21 To them that are without law, as without law, (being not without law to God, but under the law to Christ,) that I might gain them that are without law.
