Time for the Sin Boldly happy hour. 2 for 1s on beer and nog.

I actually had the first cup of eggnog in my life that I actually enjoyed last night. One of the teachers at the school had a Christmas open house and we stopped in before the Christmas program at church last night. It was delicious just like the dozen other things I tried.

Cass Clay creamery usually fills our grocery stores with premade eggnog this time of year. I should have warned my son. He accepted a sample in one store but he didn't throw up. The people at the grocery store didn't see what happened when Carl tried my hotdog with relish one time at WalMart. Strange tastes don't sit well with Carl's stomach and that Cass Clay eggnog can only be described as a strange taste.

Interesting note about Egg Nog. The colonials named it and instead of the English word Grog they used Nog but it meant that there was most likely Rum in it. Todays version you get in a store is a virgin mix using nutmeg to give it flavor. There are many drinks like Tom and Jerry that use egg nog and rum.

I love rum (or brandy) in my Egg Nog. But it HAS to be Dark Rum!

I really enjoy debating with our RC brethren on the board, and by and large it's good and convivial.

However, one of them just asserted to me that the reason that "97% of Christians" (her words, and her number) circumcise their boys is because of Peter's influence. Apparently, she thinks that Peter eventually won the circumcision debate with Paul...?

A lady that goes to my church brought me a piece of candy to try yesterday.. the outside was chocolate and the inside fooled me. It was liquor filled. She said her brother brought it over from Germany. It was pretty good

Isn't it amazing how people just make things up to "fill in the blanks". There is so much folk religion and fables mixed into some people's idea of Christianity is is hard to find Christ.
