giving up tv as well, and now into my 4th week

the sound of silence is astoundingly magnificent

hahaaaaa that's awesome!

i had the hardest time with the "silence".

In my case it was a dragonfly that settled on a chair in front of me in the garden on a sunny day. He showed me what it is to really 'chill out',as he seemed to sunbathe with his wings spread out glistening in the sun. It was a small thing that certainly spoke to me about God's rest. I had been tired and stressed. It took a dragon fly to show me how to chillax!

(can someone PM me to explain how a butterfly or a dragonfly can be sent by g-d to minister to you, and how is this ministering?)

For me, it was when i had what i call "hurry sickness".....i was anxious about being late for work...it was sooo hot outside and i'm sure i was terribly dehydrated. I must've had a 50 on a scale of 1-10 for stress. i stopped in and got an Arizona iced tea and started drinking it as i finished walking to work. When i got to work, i made a bit of a detour to the side of the building where they had a butterfly garden, and i sat on a bench, drinking the tea, as the butterflies caught my attention. As i watched them i noticed that they are like airborne ballet dancers, in that they never ever "rush" but have a "pace of grace" as they flutter from one flower to the next.

God used the butterflies to just slow me down and to "be still".

I believe that i was soooo stressed and it was soooo hot that i could've just collapsed and died. This was one of those "divine interruptions" that was needed.

God uses butterflies to remind me to slow my roll and like quietbloke said to "chillax".
