theseed's thread where we discussed Bunyan's Pilgrim's Progress status as the #2 most popular book in history made me think about creating a list of significant documents in history. I came up with the following list based on documents having the greatest impact on the most number of people in history.
  1. Bible
  2. Qur'an
  3. United States Constitution
  4. Communist Manifesto
  5. Origin of Species
What other documents would you consider for this list?

Other documents I considered were:
Martin Luther's 95 Theses
Mein Kampf
Romeo and Juliet
United States Declaration of Independence
Odyssey
Principia
Quotations from Chairman Mao Zedong
Summa Theologica
Catechism of the Catholic Church
United Nations Charter
Emancipation Proclamation
