I have some questions and I appologize ahead of time if they are absurd.

1. If God loves us why do we suffer?

2. I pray often to God yet I never seem to get an answer, why is that?

3. Why is it that people who don't think God exists have a wonderful life but people who worship and praise him have to work so hard to get a decent paycheck?

Have you heard of mankinds beginning in the garden of Eden and the choice man made?

What do you pray for? Maybe the answer is no or something that has to be accepted in this short span of existence in the physical.

Your third question is answered here in the Bible by Asaph:

Psalms 73:1 Truly God is good to Israel, to those whose hearts are pure.
2 But as for me, I came so close to the edge of the cliff! My feet were slipping, and I was almost gone.
3 For I envied the proud when I saw them prosper despite their wickedness.
4 They seem to live such a painless life; their bodies are so healthy and strong.
5 They aren't troubled like other people or plagued with problems like everyone else.
6 They wear pride like a jeweled necklace, and their clothing is woven of cruelty.
7 These fat cats have everything their hearts could ever wish for!
8 They scoff and speak only evil; in their pride they seek to crush others.
9 They boast against the very heavens, and their words strut throughout the earth.
10 And so the people are dismayed and confused, drinking in all their words.
11 "Does God realize what is going on?" they ask." Is the Most High even aware of what is happening?"
12 Look at these arrogant people--enjoying a life of ease while their riches multiply.
13 Was it for nothing that I kept my heart pure and kept myself from doing wrong?
14 All I get is trouble all day long; every morning brings me pain.
15 If I had really spoken this way, I would have been a traitor to your people.
16 So I tried to understand why the wicked prosper. But what a difficult task it is!
17 Then one day I went into your sanctuary, O God, and I thought about the destiny of the wicked.
18 Truly, you put them on a slippery path and send them sliding over the cliff to destruction.
19 In an instant they are destroyed, swept away by terrors.
20 Their present life is only a dream that is gone when they awake. When you arise, O Lord, you will make them vanish from this life.
21 Then I realized how bitter I had become, how pained I had been by all I had seen.
22 I was so foolish and ignorant--I must have seemed like a senseless animal to you.
23 Yet I still belong to you; you are holding my right hand.
24 You will keep on guiding me with your counsel, leading me to a glorious destiny.
25 Whom have I in heaven but you? I desire you more than anything on earth.
26 My health may fail, and my spirit may grow weak, but God remains the strength of my heart; he is mine forever.
27 But those who desert him will perish, for you destroy those who abandon you.
28 But as for me, how good it is to be near God! I have made the Sovereign LORD my shelter, and I will tell everyone about the wonderful things you do.

1. If God loves us why do we suffer?

Study the soil for a moment. It naturally produces weeds. No one plants them; no one waters them. They even stubbornly push through cracks of a dry sidewalk. Millions of useless weeds sprout like there’s no tomorrow, strangling our crops and ruining our lawns. Pull them out by the roots, and there will be more tomorrow. They are nothing but a curse! Consider how much of the earth is uninhabitable. There are millions of square miles of barren deserts in Africa and other parts of the world. Most of Australia is nothing but miles and miles of useless desolate land. Not only that, but the earth is constantly shaken with massive earthquakes. Its shores are lashed with hurricanes; tornadoes rip through creation with incredible fury; devastating floods soak the land; and terrible droughts parch the soil. Sharks, tigers, lions, snakes, spiders, and disease-carrying mosquitoes attack humanity and suck its life’s blood.

The earth’s inhabitants are afflicted with disease, pain, suffering, and death. Think of how many people are plagued with cancer, Alzheimer’s, multiple sclerosis, heart disease, emphysema, Parkinson’s, and a number of other debilitating illnesses. Consider all the children with leukemia, or people born with crippling diseases or without the mental capability to even feed themselves. All these things should convince thinking minds that something is radically wrong.

Did God blow it when He created humanity?

What sort of tyrant must our Creator be if this was His master plan?

Sadly, many use the issue of suffering as an excuse to reject any thought of God, when its existence is the very reason we should accept Him. Suffering stands as terrible testimony to the truth of the explanation given by the Word of God. But how can we know that the Bible is true? Simply by studying the prophecies of Matthew 24, Luke 21, and 2 Timothy 3. A few minutes of openhearted inspection will convince any honest skeptic that this is no ordinary book. It is the supernatural testament of our Creator about why there is suffering...and what we can do about it.

The Bible tells us that God cursed the earth because of Adam’s transgression. Weeds are a curse. So is disease. Sin and suffering cannot be separated. The Scriptures inform us that we live in a fallen creation. In the beginning, God created man perfect, and he lived in a perfect world without suffering. It was heaven on earth. When sin came into the world, death and misery came with it. Those who understand the message of Holy Scripture eagerly await a new heaven and a new earth "wherein dwells righteous-ness." In that coming Kingdom there will be no more pain, suffering, disease, or death. We are told that no eye has ever seen, nor has any ear heard, neither has any man’s mind ever imagined the wonderful things that God has in store for those who love Him (1 Corinthians 2:9). Think for a moment what it would be like if food grew with the fervor of weeds.

Consider how wonderful it would be if the deserts became incredibly fertile, if creation stopped devouring humanity. Imagine if the weather worked for us instead of against us, if disease completely disappeared, if pain was a thing of the past, if death was no more. The dilemma is that we are like a child whose insatiable appetite for chocolate has caused his face to break out with ugly sores. He looks in the mirror and sees a sight that makes him depressed. But instead of giving up his beloved chocolate, he consoles himself by stuffing more into his mouth. Yet, the source of his pleasure is actually the cause of his suffering. The whole face of the earth is nothing but ugly sores of suffering. Everywhere we look we see unspeakable pain. But instead of believing God’s explanation and asking Him to forgive us and change our appetite, we run deeper into sin’s sweet embrace. There we find solace in its temporal pleasures, thus intensifying our pain, both in this life and in the life to come.

2. I pray often to God yet I never seem to get an answer, why is that? Because:

  1. You ask amiss for your own gain
  2. You're not a Christian, and if you live in outright sin, you go against God.
  3. You're proud
  4. You don't treat your spouse right
  5. You're 'religious'
  6. The answer you get isn't the answer you want
3. Why is it that people who don't think God exists have a wonderful life but people who worship and praise him have to work so hard to get a decent paycheck? In the world you will have troubles. A Christian is also against the god's of the world, and that causes problems.

1. without suffering we would never grow, and to have no suffering would take away free-will

2. You pray selfishly

3. Job had a simular problem (book of Job in bible), Not every body who loves God has a hard life and visa versa. People believe that since God is just, the world must be just too, but to have this would take away our freedom

We suffer because we are not living in God's will. We choose to live in a way God has warned us will bring suffering. If it is dark, and we have a flashlight to light our way, but don't use it, how can we expect to avoid the pits and rocks in our path?

Praying for something that God doesn't want for you is like praying to be turned into a chicken: God could do it, but He won't because it's not what's best for you. Pray that His will be done, not yours.

First off, they don't have wonderful lives. Their happiness is dependant on what happens to them. A Christians happiness is not dependant on anything but God, and He cannot fail.
Secondly, they seem to "get ahead" because we are bound by morals, they are not. We are not supposed to lie, cheat, ect., which is this world's way of getting ahead. But this world isn't where our rewards are.

Why do I have the feeling there is more to these questions?

Hope this post was helpful.

1. If God loves us why do we suffer?

No one really knows, but I think most of the major probable causes have already been addressed. I will add what I read in a cartoon once. Two guys were sitting on a rock, the one said [this isn't an exact quote] "I'd like to ask God why he doesn't do anything about all the people who are hungry, or cold, or homeless, or lonely, or (etc...) suffering in the world." His friend asks "Well, why don't you?" to which the first friend replies "I'm afraid he'll ask me the same thing."

2. I pray often to God yet I never seem to get an answer, why is that?

I agree with mostly all of the above posted (ie, not praying in good faith, not being sincere), but it might also be that you're not looking for it in the right way. If you pray that God send you a spouse, you might be disappointed when you don't see a beam of light from heaven decend on the nearest pretty face, but where you should really be looking is at the friend you've known all your life. You know what I mean? Sometimes it isn't completely obvious HOW our prayers are answered. Just as how everyone was surprised that the Messiah came preaching love and not war, you need to accept things as God plans them, not as we want them to happen.

3. Why is it that people who don't think God exists have a wonderful life but people who worship and praise him have to work so hard to get a decent paycheck?

Well, 'wonderful life' is subjective. Material possessions and money don't make a wonderful life. An absense of tragedy or suffering doesn't make a wonderful life either. I believe that being close to God creates a wonderful life, others may not agree with that. This question isn't really about piety, but more about perspective.
