Note that both of these articles are talking about late-term abortions, and the alternative they offer is to deliver the baby, and then do everything possible to help both mother and baby survive.

This does not address the situation of abortion earlier in pregnancy (situations like ectopic pregnancy) when the embryo/fetus is not yet viable.
see I have very little problem with abortion when the fetus is not viable; particularly in the very early stages.

I said nothing about rape. I was talking about how much the rights of women will be infringed upon in the race to make abortion double plus illegal.
but if a woman knew the risk and chose to do it then she needs to take responabilty for those choices.

How about replying to what I said and not what fits your rhetoric?

I am talking about how women will lose medical confidentiality, their fourth amendment rights and possibly freedom of movement in states seeking to crack down on abortion.

same way it is now. Go to the doctor.
And they report to the state on who is pregnant?

Also miscarriages are not subject to criminal investigation presently.

Adoption is better than murder. There are other choices you know.
Of course, but you'd have to also force a woman to go through with an unwanted pregnancy and labor. Pregnancy and childbirth are incredibly physically taxing on a woman's body. I couldn't force someone to go through with such a physical burden just to appease religious sensibilities.

If it is a miscarriage that is by strict definition of abortion, anyway.

Unless she is raped she knew what she was doing knew the risk if you do not want that risk get your legs closed. It is not hard.

But it's ok to slaughter the child in the womb?

Hence the state needing access to all its female citizens medical records, ability to demand pregnancy tests of them, drug tests for know abortion drugs and monitoring to make sure they don’t run off to states where abortion is legal.

... get your legs closed.

No abortion thread is complete without that phrase.

Actually, if a woman can afford it then if she wishes to go elsewhere so be it.

"The decision to own a slave and go through with purchasing one should be left up to the seller and the buyer. I have no right as a non-slave owner to decide that for them"

This is the exact same argument for what society now deeds as a horrid practice of human rights violation; but during that time, it was accepted by the general public as acceptable. Abortion is now our moral fight, just as slavery was to the abolitionists of the 1800s. Roe needs to be overturned. Time to stop permitting the murder of innocent children, and I don't have to be a woman to realize how appalling a practice it is; no more than a non-slave owner would to have a stance on slavery.
I marked this as “funny” because it deals with people all of whom have already been born.
Abortion is a unique situation, (many fertilized eggs simply do not implant and are flushed out of a woman during her next menses-cycle), trying to extrapolate other moral arguments onto it just muddies the water.

A more appropriate hypothetical might include, say,
A state Law requiring a person to give blood once a week for months.
