Interesting.
yes it is.

It is true, that the initial promise of the Land of Canaan (Genesis 12) was fully realized, but the land spread mentioned in the Gen 15 covenant has not been fully realized.

Joshua infallibly testifies (long AFTER Genesis 15):

Thus the LORD gave Israel all the land He had sworn to give their fathers, and they took possession of it and settled there. And the LORD gave them rest on every side, just as He had sworn to their fathers. None of their enemies could stand against them, for the LORD delivered all their enemies into their hand. Not one of all the LORD's good promises to the house of Israel failed; everything was fulfilled.

You are of course not required to Believe, and can choose to disregard Joshua's infallible testimony, but there it is. I can loan you a sharpie if you'd like to redact it from your Bible, since it is apparent you do not believe it to be true..

I'm sure this has been said over the past 3 years, but just in case it hasn't, I will add it to the conversation. Why does it matter if we support the rebuilding of the temple? It's not going to happen until the appropriated time. At that point, it will happen with or without our help.

I am of the belief that we humans have been given the freedom and the authority to make decisions at certain points in time where windows of opportunity have been set up. We are free to make much less than the best possible decisions and when we do the future of the earth goes off in a less than ideal direction.

Back in 1979 I heard a sermon on that topic that I have never been able to get out of my mind. It was about the question that was repeated to the Prophet Elijah two times when he fled away from Queen Jezebel to Mt. Horeb.

Could the prophet Elijah have altered history if he had NOT........

On the plus side......... due to Elijah making what certainly appears to be a possible error back in the distant past...... We are given this example in scripture that can inspire many of us to make better decisions....... in important time periods when something similar is set up in these latter days?????

King David's error of committing adultery and murder is an event in scripture that has assisted many Christians to come to genuine repentance out of terrible circumstances such as a life in the slave trade as the author of the hymn Amazing Grace.

Yea, to think the Jews were away from Jerusalem for hundreds of years! I think they got it wrong about where they believe the Temple is situated. The evidence is massively in favour of the City of David.

If the theory has validity it can transform how we Christians pray and intercede for others and for our nations and for political leaders.
