Yeah that can be a problem for me too. I know there are some things where if I start getting into certain interests I used to have again it starts to suck me back into it. I had to take off the Spider-Man and posters from my wall to insure that.....
Yeah, uninstalled all of my computer games even the one's i payed for and i tried selling all of my games last week but Gamestop only wanted to take them back for $11 when they're worth like $100-200+ so they're away in my drawers. xD I'm trying to find a hobby/profession i can do to glorify God and have fun at the same time. I'm thinking Photography/Making Videos and video editing, not sure.

I honestly cant think of a good hobby that glorifies God other than preaching. I could be looking at it the wrong way. I actually used to want to do photography when i was first trying to find out what i wanted to do for a profession, but i lost interest. Same with drawing, that almost turned into a thing for life, but i lost interest. Don't really know what i want to do anymore now..:yawn1:

Interesting i just saw that pop up on my subscription list on YouTube yesterday. Been thinking of whether or not i should watch it. What exactly is it about?
Basically what the bible says about work from a scriptural standpoint even though it's long every second was worth it and informational not usually preached.

I just came here to laugh at this thread.

lololol :)

I can't even believe this is a question. Should we watch tv? Should we eat fast food?

Who cares? All those things are damaging if you are addicted to them.

This thread should be called, "Is addiction a sin"

Do ya feel better now that you got your 2 cents in?

Lol? Many people struggle with this problem so why not address it? Your post is like saying "I'm practicing sin and i don't want to be aware of the sin i'm practicing" and i believe God would care if you were shooting someone made in his image and enjoying viewing the very sin he hates when he calls you to be set apart as his people. I'm not trying to condemn or judge anyone because i'm not perfect either, all i asked of people were their opinions on this situation as i stated in my first post.

lol, not really. Sad actually, because I know some people here think that video games are ruining children because of violence. Yet we don't censor the bible? Oh wait...yeah we do ;)

If you don't think that is true, tell me how many people here have heard a sermon about Lot and those two nights with his daughters? Or what Noah did almost right after the flood?

I really want to play Minecraft....must!...resist! :nooo:
Try to find a hobby/profession, something you're talented at and do it for the glory of God. I use to play minecraft as a hobby back then and serve God but it got really addicting even when i thought i had everything under control and i put it first before everything. You'll spend hours on that game even if you aren't building anything. lol

I know it's so hard to play a fixed amount of time on minecraft. Do you think drawing pictures of Jesus or something is glorifying him? I used to draw, and i wouldn't mind going back to drawing if i could just think of something to draw.

I am just saying people need to relax.

My grandmother spends weeks making me a wool hat I will never wear, but if I spent weeks playing minecraft and helping someone build a fort, that is a sin?

I mean, at least someone will use the fort ;)
