Just getting on an airplane is difficult for her. She gets stressed out easy. She would not have done what she did if she did not really believe in what she was doing.

What question are you responding to?

Nope...not even close. She was able to escape his grasp when he and his mate tumbled drunkenly onto the floor. You really should read her account before judging..
Bingo you just proved my case. IF I said I am willing to accept 95% of what she is saying then the obstructionists are still not happy with that. They want to throw out the baby with the bath water. When you have a my way or the highway attitude do not be surprised if people tell you to take a hike.

Not only did she appear, I hear she appeared attractive.
I think she did a very good job of presenting her case and the Judge did not represent himself very well. The problem is the obstructionists are not handling this very well and they pretty much ruin it for themselves. They were very nice to her, and very mean to him and that is going to hurt them during the midterms. The only chance they had would have been if they extended the same consideration to him as they were willing to extent to her. They clearly did not do that.

As for Mitchell, what a complete disappointment. I could conduct a better cross examination than she is doing.

I wasn't able to watch the hearings today. From what I've heard, she was a sympathetic witness. If the Republican attorney showed unusual deference to her, it was probably purposeful. Republicans are highly nervous about women voters. Donald Trump won Pennsylvania and Michigan--and arguably the Presidency--because he was able to win a majority of women voters in both states. That's very atypical. In recent years, a majority of women in swing states have not voted for Republicans. The last thing the GOP wants to do in this election year is to antagonize women. So it's not surprising that Prof. Ford was treated with kid gloves.

And BTW, Judge Brett's fate as a member of SCOTUS lies totally in the hands of 2 Republican women Senators--Lisa Murkowski and Susan Collins. Both of whom you guys think are RINO's (or maybe RINETTE's. ) If only one of them votes against him, then he's in. But if both vote no, he's toast.

I thought the attorney handled the questioning well....or at least as well as she could in five minute increments. I would not call it deferential so much as respectful and neutral.

"Can't wait until a Dem is President and we can trot out some women to ruin all of their candidates." - What all of the Republicans are thinking.

We'll just have more women as candidates. Problem solved.

Just getting on an airplane is difficult for her. She gets stressed out easy. She would not have done what she did if she did not really believe in what she was doing.

I often wonder exactly which image of women liberals want to embrace, the strong, independent, hat-wearing protest screaming champion of women's rights or the poor little waif who can't get on an airplane or even answer a simple question without a man's help. You should really make up your mind.

I also understand common sense isn't the forte of the American left, but watching the thirteen year old professor left me with a few questions.

How could she testify her memory was so clear she could draw a floor-plan of the house where this event supposedly took place, but couldn't remember where that house was, how she got to the party or how she got home?

How is it she could hear the two boys stumbling down the stairs from inside a bathroom with music playing just across the hall, but couldn't hear them originally following her up the stairs at such close quarters the instant she reached the top they were right there to push her into a bedroom?

How could a professor of psychology not know what the term exculpatory means?

How could a professor of psychology now understand how a polygraph is conducted?

In addition, if the polygraph itself was so invasive, to include her sworn testimony the administrator "sat behind her" thus crafting the event as predatory with "things all over my body", why isn't she suing or charging the polygraph administrator?

In regard to that line of testimony, "things all over my body." This woman's education was touted by Feinstein as something extraordinary, yet granting that is true we are expected to believe Ford isn't capable of understanding or comprehending why a polygraph requires attachments to the body?

At least twice she had to turn to her attorney's and whimper "I don't understand the question," when the questions were painfully simple?

And we are expected to believe when she teaches a class at the university, that is the voice she uses? She slowly shakes her way around the classroom ending every sentence and every third or fourth word in a questioning tone?

Examined objectively, this woman was a complete fraud. And all the grovelling from both sides of the house in deference to the "poor little woman" was sickening.

Women are either strong independent creatures capable of handling a little bit of adversity without melting into emotional blobs or they are perpetual emotional blobs helpless without a mans care and protection.

Make up your minds.

You should really make up your mind.
David tells us that God writes the book of our life before we are even born. He gives us our gifts, talents and abilities to serve Him and to bring honor and glory to the Father. Everyone is an individual and everyone is different and we should rejoice in that. Peter tells us we are all living stones and God is shaping and forming each and every one of us so that we all fit together. Patricia T. Holland has a very nice discussion on this in her article on: "A Woman's Perspective on the Priesthood". There are women that never marry and they are CEO of major corporations. There are women that devote themselves to their family and sacrifice all they have for them. We should rejoice in our differences because The Lord God made us all. Paul says "there are many parts but one body". The hands can not say to the feet you are different from me so I do not need you. (1Cor12:15)

How could she testify her memory was so clear she could draw a floor-plan of the house where this event supposedly took place, but couldn't remember where that house was, how she got to the party or how she got home?
She explains this and also the women that was doing the questioning understands how the brain works: "Traumatic stress is associated with increased cortisol and norepinephrine responses to subsequent stressors." We have to understand how memory works in the brain and how traumatic stress effects the memory. They even asked her what are the things you remember the most. More than anything she remembers them laughing at her. Reminds me of a cat playing with a mouse. Traumatic Stress Syndrome has a effect on memory and emotions. We see this in PTSD in men and women that return from war in the middle east. I think some of her memory, the narrow steps, the small bathroom, the bed on the right side of the room. I think she has an analytic brain and those are the things she notices and remembers. Yet she does not remember how she got there, how she got home. Other then that she did not drive herself so she had to have been 15 before she got her drives licence.

Someone is a complete fraud because their stories do not agree at all. While he says he was not there that day and he does not know her. He does admit that he drinks, he drinks to much sometimes and he did attend parties like this that summer. There was a window of opportunity when he could have been in town and he could have been there at that house. I do not like his excuse that he was at practices when we know practice only lasts for an hour and it is very common for the people at the practice to go out somewhere to party after the practice. I was just looking at Michael Jordan's house. His house was designed to be a sports club for the whole team. To party, to drink, to work out in the gym.

I remember the first time I looked up and realized someone was shooting at me with the intent to kill. I remember every moment of that experience as if it happened yesterday. However I also remember how I got to that position and how I traveled back to base following that engagement. I remember who was with me, and for the guys in my immediate vicinity I remember what they were doing. Then, the next day and every day after that I was able to get up and go do my job.

Lets suppose for a moment what she described is true, that someone pushed her onto a bed, lay on top of her for thirty seconds, and then when he and another boy fell off they got laughing and walked away. For a strong, independent, accomplished woman that is what turns her into an emotional, timid little waif expressing herself as a lost child thirty-five years later?

This isn't a religious issue. This is a human nature issue. The Wailing Class needs to decide which is true. Women are either capable of both accomplishment and handling adversity with strength, class, and dignity or they are little emotional blobs who crumble at the first sign of adversity and run crying to men for safety.

Yesterday the Democrats presented a woman who, at least in act and appearance, had crumbled at the first sign of adversity and gone crying for someone to make her safe.

They even asked her what are the things you remember the most.

A opportunistic moment to again attempt to portray Kavanaugh as some form of sex-crazed beast. I wonder what part of her experience Juanita Broaddrick remembers the most.

Oh, wait, nobody cares about her.

These statements are incompatible.

I drink beer at times. I must be a closet rapist as well.
I quit drinking 40 years ago when I went through a time in my life when I was a single parent. I think I developed an allergy to alcohol because I do not like the way it makes me feel.
