~ Habakkuk 2:3 ~

For the revelation awaits an appointed time; it speaks of the end and will not prove false. Though it linger, wait for it; it will certainly come and will not delay.

This verse instills so much hope in me. Not just in knowing the Lord will return, but in knowing that He will fulfill His promises to us until that day comes. All we need do is trust and wait on His timing.​

In conclusion, be strong in the Lord [be empowered thru your union with Him]; draw your strength from Him [that strength which His boundless might provides].

Put on God's whole armor [the armor of a heavy-armed soldier which God supplies], that you may be able successfully to stand up against [all] the strategies and deceits of the devil.

For we are not wrestling with flesh and blood [contending only with physical opponents], but against the despotisms, against the powers, against [the master spirits who are] the world rulers of this present darkness, against the spirit forces of wickedness in the heavenly (supernatural) sphere.

Felt the Lord gave this to me in a fresh way yesterday... After losing a dearly loved pet...thru the tears and joys of knowing this little fellow. God's Word and His promises and the stedfastness of His character still shines thru. Being able to fasten unto His strength thru His Spirit and knowing the Truth...really does anchor my soul.
I have been thru deeper valleys, but have not been able to see the Lord as clearly as I do now. Yet the Truth of who He is and the wisdom He provides to us thru His Word has always been there...and has brought me this far. [whether I could see Him or not]
I do believe it is preparation to face and live thru successfully what is to come.

For those struggling with depression...my emotions did not swallow me up like they used too. I could feel them...go thru them and still see the Lord.​

This is beautiful to read and bear in mind all the time... for as long as we live. As I read this letter time and again, it reminds me of what a loving God we have in each of us. May it help you get to know Him better. ​

The Father's Love Letter​

MY CHILD...​

And it is My desire to lavish My love on you (1 J11 3:1) ​

I offer you more than your earthly father ever could (Mark 7:11) ​

He is the exact representation of my being (Heb 1:3) ​

He came to demonstrate that I am for you, not against you (Rom 8:31) ​

And to tell you I am not counting your sins (ICor 5:18-19) ​

Jesus died so that you and I could be reconciled (2Cor 5:18-19) ​

His death was the ultimate expression of My love for you (1 John 4:10) ​

I gave up everything I loved that I might gain your love (Rom 8:31-32) ​

If you receive the gift of My son, Jesus, you receive Me (1 John 2:23) ​

And nothing will ever separate you from My love again (Rom 8:38-39) ​

Come home, and Iÿll throw the biggest party heaven has ever seen (Luke 15:7) ​

I have always been Father and will always be Father (Eph 3:14-15) ​

My question is, Will you be my child? (John 1:12-13) ​

I am waiting for you (Luke 15:11-32) ​

Romans 8:28 ~ And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose.

I don't understand how the Lord works sometimes. Most times, I have to ask Him to show me the lesson He'd have me learn in various situations. Sometimes I see clearly, other times ... not. One thing I know though, through it all, He does not grow impatient with me. He does not stop loving me, and He will not stop working out every situation in my life .. for my good. He turns even the worst looking situation around so that I learn and grow and draw nearer to Him through it. Blessed is His name!

Great is the LORD, and greatly to be praised in the city of our God, in the mountain of his holiness! {Psalm 48:1}

Thank you to everyone who has been posting verses, they're all great. Here is my favourite verse; one that I think of whenever I'm feeling a bit down or distressed about something.

"Therefore we do not lose heart. Though outwardly we are wasting away, yet inwardly we are being renewed day by day." (2 Corinthians 4:16)

This one reminds me of the joy that God places in our hearts that pours out amidst our thanksgiving and praise, and overflows onto others and blesses them simultaneously as we are blessed.....

what a picture, huh? There's a feast. A celebration. Joy is abounding. Can you picture that?

When I came back to the Lord in '97, a whoooole lot of things changed - dramatically, not slow and easy! Within a 6 month period, I lost family, friends, home, income, etc., as the Lord started house cleaning. Some things were more devastating at the time then others, but I just stood back and watched ... and trusted.

Every time I look back now, I know He answered my heart's cry for Him, and the loss of friendships or material mean nothing. I have gained so much more through knowing Him, and growing in His grace and knowledge. There is nothing, absolutely nothing to compare to the knowledge of His love and the peace and joy I have in living for Christ.

For the earnest expectation of the creation eagerly waits for the revealing of the sons of God.

Isn't it an awesome reality to know that the God of all creation created the intricate being that is us? Each one of us unique and deeply loved by Him. Not only that, but in creating us, and knowing us fully, He also prepared our live's work before we even came into being, thus creating the particular personality and gifts that we would need to accomplish His will. Bless Him for His wonderful workmanship!
