A friend of mine sent me this verse not to long ago and it's really helped me this past week.

Lamentations 3:31-36

These verses have been coming to my mind over and over in the past few weeks.

Philippians 4:8&9,
'Finally, brothers, whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable -- if anything is excellent or praiseworthy -- think about such things. Whatever you have learned or received or heard from me, or seen in me -- put it into practice. And the God of peace will be with you.'

I read these verses, and I say 'Yes, yes!' And then I find myself snickering at an off-colour joke, or agreeing with someone who is tearing another person apart, or criticizing someone myself. And I find I do not have peace. It makes me irritable and causes me to anger. And so I have put these verses on paper and tacked them up beside my computer screen so that daily I will read them and hopefully take them to heart. Because not only are we to think about these things we are to put them into practice.

~ Romans 4:20-21 ~ Yet he did not waver through unbelief regarding the promise of God, but was strengthened in his faith and gave glory to God, being fully persuaded that God had power to do what he had promised.

Our pastor is working through the book of Romans, and this really spoke to me from the sermon today. God seems to be telling me to keep trusting Him, and in my obedience, He will uphold me and reward me by further building my faith. This in turn only creates an even better relationship with Him.

Romans 8:38-39

For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to seperate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord.

Please remember this, that nothing can seperate us from God's love. Sin does affect our relationship with Him, but it doesn't affect His love for us!

Proverbs 10:18 He who conceals his hatred has lying lips, and whoever spreads slander is a fool.

We are not told to hide our hate but to get rid of it and not have any hatred toward others but to dispise evil.

In the midst of her grief and confusion when she couldn't find him at the tomb, Jesus was there for this woman, even then, when she thought she had lost him forever.

I love the way Jesus cares for her.
