Mat 24:5 "For many will come in My name, saying, `I am the Christ,' and will mislead many.

Mat 24:6 "You will be hearing of wars and rumors of wars. See that you are not frightened, for those things must take place, but that is not yet the end.

Mat 24:7 "For nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom, and in various places there will be famines and earthquakes.

Mat 24:8 "But all these things are merely the beginning of birth pangs.

This is what God the LORD says- he who created the heavens and stretched them out,
who spread out the earth and all that comes out of it, who gives breath to its people,
and life to those who walk on it:

"I, the LORD , have called you in righteousness; I will take hold of your hand.
I will keep you and will make you to be a covenant for the people
and a light for the Gentiles, to open eyes that are blind, to free captives from prison
and to release from the dungeon those who sit in darkness.

"I am the LORD ; that is my name!
I will not give my glory to another or my praise to idols.

See, the former things have taken place, and new things I declare;

Ephesians 2:10
For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them.

Just recently God gave me a little wake up call......"YOU ARE EXACTLY WHERE I WANT YOU"

Just thought I'd pass it along....the Psalms say that the steps of the righteous are ordered in the Lord...the path you take will not suprise God,

I grow as fast as the Lord has me...no more, no less....lest I grow weary and my faith waiver

I have found this to be true in my life and it is good to hear it again and again.


No temptation has overtaken you except such as is common to man; but God is faithful, who will not allow you to be tempted beyond what you are able, but with the temptation will also make the way of escape, that you may be able to bear it. 1Cor. 10:13

I am finding if He gives me the grace to surrender...under pressure, to Him; He makes a way where there seemed to be no way to bear my situation. He has brought me a long, long, way.
I'm now finding that He is undergirding me to pray...prayers that Paul prayed...very God centered and eternal prayers, in the midst of the trial...this is also making a way where there was no apparent way to get thru...thru to a place where I am at peace with Him and full of praise...waiting at His feet. Waiting at His feet...not screaming to "get out" [as much], not complaining [as much], not fearing [as much]...just waitng for Him to fill me with His life and strength.

This has always been a very special verse to me. Hope it touches someone today.

"We live by faith, not by sight." -2 Corinthians 5:7

This verse is on my youth group's t-shirt. Its short, but packed with so much meaning. This verse always helps me whenever even a small hint of doubt about anything enters my mind. The faith I've been blessed with rids me of all doubt. I hope this verse helps you all in this area as well.

Jesus was talking to His disciples, in John 16, about what was to come in His last hours with them:

32 Behold, the hour cometh, yea, is now come, that ye shall be scattered, every man to his own, and shall leave me alone: and yet I am not alone, because the Father is with me.
33 These things I have spoken unto you, that in me ye might have peace. In the world ye shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world.

Isn't it good to know that even when we fail--and He knows we will from time to time --that He's got it handled? How much more motivation to serve Him because of His grace and His love!

This is a tough verse. 'all things'

It is a tough verse, and I have had problems believing it at times - it seems impossible that what happened to me could ever be of benefit, but I believe more and more that God does not waste even a drop of our suffering.

This is one that has been very powerful for me.

This is a tough verse as Abiel said...but if I can "think" of it, receive it, accept it...It puts my place of growth and the circumstances "in His hands". I think that is very honoring to Him and it helps me to "stand". It really puts me past my ability to figure things out.
That means trusting Him with some very painful "stuff".

Though the yield of the olive should fail, and the fields produce no food,
Though the flock should be cut off from the fold, and there be no cattle in the stalls,

Yet I will rejoice in the God of my salvation.

The Lord God is my strength, and He makes my feet like hind's feet, and makes me walk on my high places. Hab. 3:17-19



I woke up thinking of this verse and sort of resolving in my heart to face my day and what I see happening in the world and my life with this truth.

The prophet saw disturbing things happening in the world ; did not understand what God was doing it seems...where was He?
Yet, he determined to stand his ground...watching to see what the Lord would say...he did not "run", throw a "fit" [I have thrown a few]...the prophet waited to hear and receive the Lord's word.

This is a huge lesson for me and I'm still in the school room...

The Lord's word was hard to take in Habakkuk case...it made him a little sick...yet his decision to wait quietly...3:16
and continue to rejoice in his God [my God]; realizing that his God was his strength...that is wisdom for me today.

I also see from this little book...that God is working even in very unpleasant ways to bring about His will and purposes...I am learning to bow to His will and purposes...even if my "flesh" suffers, with Him as my strength, He will make me walk on my high places.

Teach me your way, O Lord, and I will walk in your truth; give me an undivided heart, that I may fear your name. I will praise you, O Lord my God, with all my heart; I will glorify your name forever. For great is your love toward me; you have delivered me from the depths of the grave.​

In thankfulness, for His great mercy toward me, I desire to learn more of Him and grow in His grace and truth ... letting nothing come between us. This is the least I can do, praise His name. ​

I was here in the word recently. Thought it was good encouragement for those of us who have been waiting for a long time to see God's promises fulfilled in our lives. Giving glory to God as I grow in faith seems to be the focus at this time.


This is the example of Abraham's faith:

Hoping against hope, he believed that he would become "the father of many nations," according to what was said. "So numerous shall your descendants be."
He did not weaken in faith when he considered his own body, which was already dead (for he was about a hundred years old), or when he considered the barrenness of Sarah's womb.
No distrust made him waver concerning the promise of God, but he grew strong in faith as he gave glory to God,
being fully convinced that God was able to do what He had promised. Romans 4:18-21

Rom 8:1 Therefore, there is now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus,

Rom 8:2 because through Christ Jesus the law of the Spirit of life set me free from the law of sin and death.

Rom 8:3 For what the law was powerless to do in that it was weakened by the sinful nature, God did by sending his own Son in the likeness of sinful man to be a sin offering. And so he condemned sin in sinful man,

Rom 8:4 in order that the righteous requirements of the law might be fully met in us, who do not live according to the sinful nature but according to the Spirit.

Rom 8:5 Those who live according to the sinful nature have their minds set on what that nature desires; but those who live in accordance with the Spirit have their minds set on what the Spirit desires.

Rom 8:6 The mind of sinful man is death, but the mind controlled by the Spirit is life and peace;

Rom 8:7 the sinful mind is hostile to God. It does not submit to God's law, nor can it do so.

Rom 8:8 Those controlled by the sinful nature cannot please God.

Was reading this this morning and this really jumped out at me. I am weak and I will admit it. Somehow I need to let Him give me the strength I need to be made in His likeness.

These verses were in my morning devotional today...They always bring me peace.

Do not fret because of evildoers, nor be envious of the workers of iniquity.

For they shall soon be cut down like the grass, and wither as the green herb.


Trust in the Lord, and do good; dwell in the land and feed on His faithfulness.

Delight yourself also in the Lord, trust also in Him, and He shall bring it to pass. He shall bring forth your righteousness as the light, and your justice as the noonday.


Rest in the Lord, and wait patiently for Him; do not fret because of him who prospers in his way, because of the man who brings wicked schemes to pass. Cease from anger, and forsake wrath; do not fret--it only causes harm.

{Hebrews 12:2}

Let us fix our eyes on Jesus, the author and perfecter of our faith, who for the joy set before him endured the cross, scorning its shame, and set down at the right hand of the throne of God.

Some days are harder than others, doncha think? From the minute the alarm clock goes off, 'til you walk into the door at work ... its hard. These seem to be special mornings when the Lord is allowing all kinds of stuff to come your way, just to see your reaction to it.​

Ahhh. But, knowing this is where the peace is. If we keep our eyes on Jesus, we will see things from His perspective. He endured far more than all we will put up with today, and for a lifetime. In looking to Him we can know the same joy that sustained Him, upheld Him, and enabled Him to walk according to the Lord's will. May His precious name be blessed.​

Consider it all joy, my brethren, when you encounter various trials, knowing that the testing of your faith produces endurance. And let endurance have it's perfect result, that you may be perfect and complete, lacking nothing.

For we do not have a high priest who cannot sympathize with our weaknesses, but One who has been tempted in all things as we are, yet without sin.

Let us therefore draw near with confidence to the throne of grace, that we may receive mercy and may find grace to help in time of need. Hebrews 4:14-16


The Lord gave this to me personally to me today. I "can" hold fast to my confession...to the end...I have a personal high priest who has gone before me thru the heavens...and there is a place to "go" [the throne of grace]...always open for every help in every need...I am invited to go there. A welcome is waiting for me and I can expect mercy and grace to be provided....thank You sooo much Lord Jesus.
