No I didn't take them. Every year my sister goes on a sailing competition up the lakes from Detroit to the very tip of the mitten, which is where Mackinac Island is. It's GORGEOUS there. They don't allow cars there...only bikes and horses.

Awesome, what a good Idea to not have cars.

Next week I am putting an electric motor on my bicycle. I like to ride but I am getting lazy as I get older.

I need to recommend to my city council that no cars should be allowed on our downtown squire.

Oh, okay. I was going to say you should be a photographer! These are beautiful. I would have guessed this was New England (not that I've been there either, but it kind of looks like pics I have seen). I might have to add this island to my list of places to visit

Michigan gets a bad rap because of Detroit and Flint, but the state as a whole is one of the most beautiful I've ever been to. We have everything here, from rocky coasts and sand dunes to vast forests and farmlands.

I'd loved to have had a place like that growing up. Heck, even now. Especially now.

You must have some fond memories of that! I remember the days when we used to get snow in my area... Those were the days lol.

Yes it's my favorite place in the world!! It's amazing up there. Great fishing, lots of trails for 4-wheeling, places to shoot, a huge bonfire pit...it's the perfect place to get away.

I will, I enjoy photography but I have a lot left to learn. Pictures have the ability to tell beautiful stories which is one of the lovely things about looking at other peoples photos.

My family also has a cabin where I spent many, many weekends unwinding and enjoying fellowship with friends and family. Ours is a bit modest, though, but we have filled it with many memories and laughter over the years...
