When it comes to growth, God created two types of life:

1. Plants & animals that stop growing at a certain age.
2. Plants & animals that continue to get bigger until they die.

The giant dinosaurs we see in the fossil record lived on the earth prior to the Flood, when the lifespan was nearly a thousand years.

After the Flood, which destroyed our planet's environment, the lifespan took a dive.

Since not one word of that is in the Bible, and all of it contradicts science, your speculation can take a hike.

The only Linnaeus huggers are the creationists that keep adding him to lists of scientists that happened to be creationists.

Why wouldn't we?

Then you must have missed the story of the grapes of Eschol, eh?

You also must be using another bible, as the lifespans did indeed take a dive after Noah.

Prior to the Flood:

Methuselah = 969 years old
Jared = 962 years old
Noah = 950 years old
Adam = 930 years old -- (probably 950 or 960)
Kenan = 910 years old
Enosh = 909 years old
Mahalalel = 895 years old
Lamech = 777 years old

After the Flood:

Shem = 600 years old
Arphaxad = 438 years old
Salah = 433 years old
Eber = 464 years old
Peleg = 239 years old
Reu = 239 years old
Abraham = 175 years old
Moses = 120 years old

Can you kindly point out which ones of those are animals or plants? If none of them are, can you provide the Bible verses in which the lifespan of animals and plants is discussed?

EDIT: Can you also explain why these people lived so long AFTER God said this: Genesis 6:3 And the Lord said, My spirit shall not always strive with man, for that he also is flesh: yet his days shall be an hundred and twenty years.

Was God lying?

Must have been those stone age Flintstone vitamins they had back then.

Just another reason not to view the book of genesis as literal. The relative age of humans can be determined from their bones. Many human remains have been excavated by archeologists and anthropologists of that period and none come even close to any of those ages. NONE, zero, nada, nicht.

Would you please provide scientific evidence supporting those claims?

Flood? What flood?
The Flood that engulfed the entire world's land masses, killed all but those in a big barge and tore up the landscape so that miles of sediment would be available to bury the bodies.
You know....the Flood that God cleaned up after, arranging the sedimentary rock between lava flows so that the isotope ratios in the layers made it seem like the layers were in some kind of order from oldest to youngest.

You know...the Flood that God cleaned up after by grouping the dead bodies and plants then inserting them in the layers so that it looked like some groups evolved into other groups as the sediment layers were apparently younger.

That Flood.

Blimey, the bible has got a lot of fiction in it. Mind you, I suppose back in those days these stories would have been partly for entertainment. Story not entertaining enough? Exaggerate, dear boy, embellish and enlarge. Make it entertaining. He lived to 90? Nonsense he lived to 900. Now you've got them. A small local flood? That's no good. It was a global catastrophic cataclysm that killed all life on earth. That's the way to tell a story. Now, this preacher chap the romans killed, what do you reckon we can make of that...

No, thanks.

I'm a little short on scientific evidence.

Evidence is 99% facts, but that 1% can send a person to Hell.

I like what another wag said:

Lies usually win the first battle, but truth wins in the end.
