Hello!
Having been directed here to the wonderful world of all things dramatic - by my friend Clare (Addapearle) - I thought I'd add my penny's worth...
Shakespeare is brilliant! He writes such brilliant characters, and plotlines (plus there's no royalties on his plays which is always good). I only wish there were more female parts... although obv. he's forgiven due to impending imprisonment of female actresses!
My favourite is Macbeth. It rocks in more ways than are possible to mention and I will gladly fight my corner against anyone who thinks otherwise!
I think its a good thing that they teach shakespeare in schools, cos like kilted said it does get people into reading it and altho it is intended for the stage and studying anything in school can bore you to death it does help you to understand the intrincacies of the plays - well, that's what I think anyway.
Oooh, and other people who've played Shakespeare parts - don't you think it's cool trying to get the pattern of the speeches down, and hearing the flow in the words when you get it right
etc etc etc various other high praise of Shakespeare.
Btw, its cool to meet so many other drama-type people (esp. Shakespeare fans - you've got to be pretty hard core to like this stuff, haven't u?)
Love, and melodramatic poses,
from RachelXXX
And Clare, face it - Patrick stewart IS old

(minus the mitre and crozier obvioiusly)
