Your on this tangent that not only doesn't fit your argument, it makes no logical sense.
Nothing subjective. Give me facts. Support your argument. Don't try to think you're going to get me to change my stance by constantly repeating the same error over, and over, and over, and over.............
You sir are wrong. Your arguement is flawed. here is why:
(Mar 10:19-27) Thou knowest the commandments, Do not commit adultery, Do not kill, Do not steal, Do not bear false witness, Defraud not, Honour thy father and mother. And he answered and said unto him, Master, all these have I observed from my youth. Then Jesus beholding him loved him, and said unto him, One thing thou lackest: go thy way, sell whatsoever thou hast, and give to the poor, and thou shalt have treasure in heaven: and come, take up the cross, and follow me. And he was sad at that saying, and went away grieved: for he had great possessions. And Jesus looked round about, and saith unto his disciples, How hardly shall they that have riches enter into the kingdom of God! And the disciples were astonished at his words. But Jesus answereth again, and saith unto them, Children, how hard is it for them that trust in riches to enter into the kingdom of God! It is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle, than for a rich man to enter into the kingdom of God. And they were astonished out of measure, saying among themselves, Who then can be saved? And Jesus looking upon them saith, With men it is impossible, but not with God: for with God all things are possible.
Sell all you have, pick up your cross and follow me. Jesus just asked him to be a disciple. Just like when he said:
Mar 1:17 And Jesus said unto them, Come ye after me, and I will make you to become fishers of men.
Mar 1:18 And straightway they forsook their nets, and followed him.
Ok look at Mark 1:18: And straightway they forsook their nets, and followed him. They left all their material wealth behind, immediately, because Jesus was of more value to them. Not so for the other guy.
And he was sad at that saying, and went away grieved: for he had great possessions. See? This guy was mad wealthy, and he did not count Christ worthy of all his worldly possessions. So he decide to keep his wealth over his "Master".
Now... I know you're going to think this is a blanket statement for all believers, but it isn't. This is not a commandment. Jesus exposed the greed in this mans heart. This was a gut check. This also doesn't mean the man died in sin either. All of that believe are convicted by God about things in our lives He want us to deal with. Jesus even goes on to say that with God, even a man with such greed can be saved.
I'm not a high and mighty person. I admit my faults. I am no different than you. The only difference is I confess Jesus Christ a Lord.
Does your TV help you glorify God? Does your TV cause you to sin? What should you do with something that causes you to sin?
You accuse me of going on a tangent and yet in all your rambling you do not address these core issues.
