What is going on with US road safety. In the UK from what I can make out total deaths involving vehicles are about 1700-1800 a year. And guess what jaywalking does not even exist on the statute books, I have the legal right to walk on the road(blocking traffic on the other hand is an offence)....yes, humans aren't doing so well.
In 2015, 5,736 pedestrians on U.S. roads were killed, and in 2014, an average of one pedestrian was killed every two hours and injured every seven minutes, according to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration.
