The pope has said that the "revelation of Christ is definitive and complete" According to christian doctrine this is not possible until the second coming. So is he lying ? or has the Christ been and gone, or is he still here, ? or were the christians wrong and the "revelation" revealed by some other means ??

I know the answer to this one and I will donate a whole blessing as a prize to the lucky person who can get it right.

Hi Kira Fay,

Yours is a very good question and one that troubles many. the Bible is full, in fact, of warnings against many false prophets, as well as the Anti-Christ. The Anti-Christ is most fully discussed in the book of Revelation. False prophets are well covered throughout the New Testament and interestingly, the verses that refer to them, give us some very good "heads up" as to the qualities, characteristics and or "signs" if you will, of the false prophet.
If you're really interested, I will post a few Biblical references here and hopefully that will help to answer your question.
(My personal short answer to how will we know who it is, concerning the Anti Christ: it will be very apparent. He will be a "worldwide" personality, and very visible to everyone thru media, etc. and he will claim that he is Christ returned. Therefore, wait for the SECOND guy! ;) There is a lot of info about the AntiChrist in the book of Revelation, which I recommend, you just read the whole thing. It's hard to take in pieces...)

Anyway, here's a few references for you on false prophets:

2 Peter 2:
1 But (1) false prophets also arose among the people, just as there will also be (2) false teachers (3) among you, who will (4) secretly introduce (5) destructive heresies, even (6) denying the (7) Master who (8) bought them, bringing swift destruction upon themselves.
2 Many will follow their (9) sensuality, and because of them (10) the way of the truth will be (11) maligned;

2 Timothy 4

"Preach the Word"

1 (1) I solemnly charge you in the presence of God and of Christ Jesus, who is to (2) judge the living and the dead, and by His (3) appearing and His kingdom:
2 preach (4) the word; be ready in season and out of season; (5) reprove, rebuke, exhort, with great (6) patience and instruction.
3 For (7) the time will come when they will not endure (8) sound doctrine; but wanting to have their ears tickled, they will accumulate for themselves teachers in accordance to their own desires,
4 and (9) will turn away their ears from the truth and (10) will turn aside to myths.

1 Timothy:
3 As I urged you upon my departure for (1) Macedonia, remain on at (2) Ephesus so that you may instruct certain men not to (3) teach strange doctrines,
4 nor to pay attention to (4) myths and endless (5) genealogies, which give rise to mere (6) speculation rather than (7) furthering the administration of God which is by faith.
5 But the goal of our (8) instruction is love (9) from a pure heart and a (10) good conscience and a sincere (11) faith.

Jesus himself warned people of this:
Matthew 7
14 "For the gate is small and the way is narrow that leads to life, and there are few who find it.
15 "Beware of the (1) false prophets, who come to you in sheep's clothing, but inwardly are (2) ravenous wolves.
16 "You will (3) know them by their fruits. Grapes are not gathered from thorn bushes nor figs from thistles, are they?

Mark 13
21 "And then if anyone says to you, 'Behold, here is the Christ'; or, 'Behold, He is there'; do not believe him;
22 for false Christs and (1) false prophets will arise, and will show (2) signs and (3) wonders, in order to lead astray, if possible, the elect.
23 "But take heed; behold, I have told you everything in advance.

I have only posted a few references. There are many others. Anyway, I hope that helps answer your question! :)

No he ain't comming, but someone else has., "The revelation" of The Christ if you would care to read it, explains how you would know him.

" Is there anything in the bible? Truelly interested here."

Yes there is LOTS, but to find it you would have to read the original bible, the Book Of Man.

It may be appropriate to interject the following:
Haile Selassie (Ras Tafari), emperor of Ethiopia, never claimed to be divine. The Rastafarian sect began in Jamaica's slums. They saw on TV and newspapers a black man being coroneted, surrounded by royal pomp, and thought that for this to happen to a man of color, he must be God, or the Son of God.
Soon afterward, a group of pilgrims from Jamaica went to Ethiopia to meet whom they considered the second coming of Christ. Upon being told they wanted to worship him, King Selassie refused to see them, and sent them a message saying that he was not Jesus (Selassie was himself a Christian and member of the Ethiopian Orthodox Church, and presumably considered the whole thing sort of blaphemous).
His followers were not dissuaded, they claiming that Selassie was in fact Jesus, but he just didn't know it.
Rastafarianism is now an important part of Jamiacan culture. Devotees can be distinguished by the wearing of dreadlocks, and the religious use of marijuana as a sacrament, which they call "ganja".
Another interesting distinguishment among them is that instead of using the word "we", they say "I and I", to denote unity.
Probably the most famous Rastafarian was the musician/singer Bob Marley, who inspired a whole generation of Rasta reggae musicians.

Regards,
Lee

Shakespeare is also much better in the original Klingon.

Haile Sellassie denied being Christ, an even set up Orthodox Chruches so they wouldn't worship him.
The people proclaimed him God, because they had been oppressed so much. an they saw a new emperor, crowned with names like King of kings, Conquering Lion, His Imperial Majesty, ect ect. An thought he must be God returned to set them free an bring in the kingdom.

I suggest the book 'Dread Jesus' by William Spencer if you want a good look at the diverse beliefs an history of the Rastafarian faith.

[Edit: Whoops. I see that Lee Duncan, has said pretty much every I said.]

There is evidence of my claim that can be substantiated, that is just one of the differences between the Way and the religions. The Way does not ask for belief, only Reason.

Do you want evidence ? If so I can post it, or maybe you would prefer fantasy.

I dont think its that complicated.. Christ is not coming back in the flesh.. since he already came in the flesh and logically it can not come back in the flesh.. Therefore, since he ressurected and Lives, hes coming back just as he left.. on the clouds... or have we forgotten this?

No hes not an alien... but believe it or not.. some will be greatly decieved when he does come.. some will actually think its an alien.. When its only Jesus is all his glory.. with a voice like a trumpet and lightening going from east to west.. where everyone will see... but only few will understand.. And the false prophets will try to justify and say "This is not the Rapture as christians once said, it is <insert lie here>" Perhaps whatever happens on that Day, some will think it was a Human God who came to correct everything. Struck lightening on all christians that made them vanish.. This will be the great delusion. At the time this Antichrist raises, people will confuse the coming of Our Lord with the false powers of the Antichrist.. Maybe i said too much...

no matter what something great will happen.. first the dead will rise, the living who are walking in faith will rise.. those who consider themselves walking in faith but aren't really, will stay and see that this is the Second coming but will not be caught up. the chosen Jews, the sealed will see that this is Jesus the Messiah. while everyone else will be decieved into thinking that it is some Guy claiming to be God (the great abomination) doing all these strange things..
The chosen jews will claim that the man claiming to be God, in the Thrown of the Jewish temple is not the Son of God etc... they will get killed for their claims.. the great tribulation. a certain amount of people will die for their claims, this is the great multitude. Well you're going to have to read Revelation and Daniel and MAthew 24 and 2 peter and 2 thessalonians and Isaiah and the whole Bible basically to understand..
By the way you will not get it until you understand that Jesus Christ is our Lord and Savior. and it is definitely not a game nor some religious hobby.
