God told Moses the Israelites were a stiff necked people who would soon desert him once they reached the promised land. So often they sought almost mechanically to obey, but their hearts were far from God. Time after time they rebelled against him, got into a mess, and then cried out to him for his help, and he rescued them from their enemies

Under such circumstances, it is easy to understand why God set aside a particular day for them to contemplate on his goodness to them, and be grateful for it.

But under the new covenant our hearts have been softened, the Holy Spirit dwells in believers, and Father and Son through him. Believers will instinctively meditate on God every day of the week, for he lives in them through the Spirit. They will be grateful every day for what God has done in them through his son. The spiritual intent of the fourth commandment is upheld in born again believers seven days a week!

And so Paul states:

One man considers one day more sacred/holy that another, another man considers every day alike, each one should be fully convinced in his own mind Rom14:5

But those who follow after the letter of the law will never accept it, for they, by doing so cannot follow after the Holy Spirit, it really is one or the other(Rom7:5)

There were no Jews at creation when the Sabbath was instituted. It was made sacred by God and only He can undo that, which He isn't doing since we will be keeping it in the New Jerusalem.
Isa 66:22 For as the new heavens and the new earth, which I will make, shall remain before me, saith the LORD, so shall your seed and your name remain.
Isa 66:23 And it shall come to pass, that from one new moon to another, and from one sabbath to another, shall all flesh come to worship before me, saith the LORD.

Really, why not ask them, let's see if they obey the Ten Commandments when responding

We all obey the 10---it's just that once in a while--we all also can mess up--that is when God forgives!

If I said to you, if you think of a pink elephant God will condemn you to hell, what is the first thought that will come into your head if you believed me?

That you are so totally nuts!

This is hopeless, too many people who think they know due to having the ability to copy/paste the letter of scripture selectively.
You have to understand the message contained in the letter, not just a superficial understanding of the letter itself

That is exactly what we have been saying. Jesus expanded on the commandment--The spirit opens our eyes to the great depth they contain--we are very wicked and have to dig deep.

Every time you dwell on any impure thought you mess up, everytime you get angry with your brother you mess up. If you look at a woman with lust in your eye you mess up. Everytime you covet anything of your neighbours you mess up. If you do not in your heart love those who may be unkind to you/your enemies you mess up. If you have unkind thoughts about others you mess up. Every time you are not as pure as the driven snow you mess up. Every time you break the law relating to the inner man you mess up

From what I have experienced of seventh day Adventists their eyes are not far opened concerning what is required to obey God's laws

Have a read of romans ch7, Paul gave an example of why he had to die to the law, its all about: Thou shalt not covet/law relating to the inner man/law no one but you and God need know you break, for Paul knew what was involved in obeying the Ten Commandments, his eyes were wide open

Therefore there is now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus.

This is the condemnation
Romans 6:23
For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.

But I say, walk by the Spirit, and you will not carry out the desire of the
flesh.
For the flesh sets its desire against the Spirit, and the Spirit against the flesh;
for these are in opposition to one another, so that you may not do the things that
you please. But if you are led by the Spirit, you are not under the Law (Galatians 5:16-18)

This is being under the law

Romans 6:23
For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.

Revelation 20:12
And I saw the dead, small and great, stand before God; and the books were opened: and another book was opened, which is the book of life: and the dead were judged out of those things which were written in the books, according to their works.

What standard are we to be judged by?

Nowhere in the new testament does Paul say that we are under law or are to obey the ten commandments. .

1. "What matters is KEEPING the Commandments of God" 1 Cor 7:19
2. where "the FIRST commandment with a promise" in that unit of TEN is the fifth commandment. Ephesians 6:2
3. The Commandments that include "Do not Covet" Romans 7
4. The Commandments that include
9 For this,
Thou shalt not commit adultery,
Thou shalt not kill,
Thou shalt not steal,
Thou shalt not bear false witness,
Thou shalt not covet; and if there be any other commandment, it is briefly comprehended in this saying, namely, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself. Romans 13

You are creatively reading things into scripture again.

The mere "quote of the text" sufficient cause to give rise to your objection to it.

Oddly enough "Love God with all your heart" not in that list quoted by Paul
Oddly enough "Do not take God's name in vain" - not in that list quoted by Paul.

Y
Oddly, the fourth commandment is missing from your list,

But the Sabbath commandment is quoted from in the NT -- as we see in Rev 14:7 and in Hebrews 4 and in Acts including the practice of "meeting EVERY Sabbath" for Gospel preaching in Acts 18:4.

Unlike the command "Do not take God's name in vain" not quoted from even once in the NT...

The first four commandments not often quoted from in the NT. Which means absolutely nothing in terms of a real argument against them.... obviously.

And Isaiah 56:5-8 Sabbath specifically to gentiles
Mark 2:27 Sabbath specifically for all mankind
Isaiah 66:23 for all eternity after the cross - Sabbath for "all mankind".

Just stating the obvious.

What sin does the Holy Spirit convict us of?

What sin does HE refuse to convict us of? The one we are most hardened against? Maybe he starts with the ones we are most open to listening to -- and works from there.

This is what changed:

Their sins and lawless deeds I will remember no more

The true power of sin is the penalty attached to the law if you break it. Remove that, and you remove sins power from the individuals life, hence:

Do we then nullify the law by this faith(righteousness of faith in Christ not obeying the law) Not at all! Rather we uphold the law Rom3:31

1 John 3:4
Whosoever committeth sin transgresseth also the law: for sin is the transgression of the law

So you now keep the Sabbath Commandment?
Exodus 20:8
Remember the sabbath day, to keep it holy.

And how did you come to the conclusion you must do that? By reading what was written in ink, or was that knowledge already written in your heart?

By the word of GOD
Matthew 4:4
But he answered and said, It is written, Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of God.
