Announcements will be made in the respective forums as well but please note that if yours is currently listed as Private, you will need to submit a ticket in the Support Area to have yours changed.

  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

I believe the universe was created pristine and without "floaties;" but is now occupied by dust and debris due to a cosmic battle that took place some 6000 years ago between good and bad angels.

The asteroid belt is no exception.
i am speechless.

Why would they battle in physical form?
Why would God allow them to do that and wreck his universe?

Why am I entertaining that idea?
I mean, I don't think the word 'impossible' should exist, but...what?

It's not that scientists generally wouldn't trust God.
Oh, please.

How many scientists want IN GOD WE TRUST and UNDER GOD removed from our currency and pledge respectively?

And when I use the word "scientist," I generally mean anyone who appeals to the scientific method to challenge a literal interpretation of the King James Bible, or One of Its seven Predecessors.

The fact that they are scientists and the fact that they want that are probably unrelated but share a common source.

Well, no offense, but you are using the word 'Scientist' incorrectly.
A lot of scientists are interested in other things as opposed to refuting religion. You also get religious scientists.

While I don't believe in the Gap theory, as C. I. Scofield did, here is where I got that idea:

From the Scofield Reference Bible, footnotes to Genesis 1:
Jeremiah 4:23-26, Isaiah 24:1 and 45:18 clearly indicate that the earth had undergone a cataclysmic change as the result of a divine judgment. The face of the earth bears everywhere the marks of such a catastrophe. There are not wanting intimations which connect it with a previous testing and fall of angels.

No

If you hated Leonardo da Vinci, how could you ruin him, if you lived next door to him?
so the "war" didn't actually involve fighting, it was more akin to vandalism is what you are saying? ant fallen angels essentially eternal? you would think they would preserve what is essentially artwork to them.

You got that right.

I won't say what that common source is, but I do agree with you.
Well, no offense, but you are using the word 'Scientist' incorrectly.
That could very-well be, but I used to call them "slientists", then "Internet scientists", then "e-scientists"; and I finally got tired of trying to make a distinction between unbelieving scientists and believing scientists and just dropped the prefixes.

You can't tell the difference anyway, unless you look at their faith icon first.
A lot of scientists are interested in other things as opposed to refuting religion.
Again, I'm going to refrain from commenting here.
You also get religious scientists.
Yes indeed.

You'll find scientists who are Muslims, Mormons, Jehovah's Witnesses, etc.

I have no idea how the war took place.

We just see some of the results of it.

Such as craters, dust, and whatnot.

"war" usually involves fighting, if neither side can be killed, well fighting would be pointless, you would think beings who are essentially eternal would find other things to do then petty vandalism.

Do you have a better suggestion as to how this went down roughly 6000 years ago?

If not, I'll stick to my version of Mr. Scofield's interpretation.
