You have destroyed the notion of the Bible as being infallible and your Boolean standards with it.
Prove it.I think you're wrong.
And your IQ is?Both of you are violating forum rules
besides threatening the IQ of anyone
foolish enough to read even one side.
While you may have found recent posts in this thread not particularly intellectually stimulating, I was trying to make sense of how a serial thread derailer applied the tools of his trade here by undermining YEC, including contradicting his Boolean standards and the "Under no circumstances whatsoever is the Bible to be contradicted" prime directive.Notenuf i can afford to shed much

How does the Chicxulub impact mean that God didn't create the universe? For someone whose mantra is "Science can take a hike" is basically stating the science is right and the creationist account is wrong.
How does the Chicxulub impact mean that God didn't create the universe?
Maybe. I'm an OEC, not a YEC, but if a YEC was into a theory of time distortion, it would allow for it. The problem is how such time distortion would happen and how would it account for other things that point to a universe billions of years old. It's more that the dating of the Chicxulub impact to 65 million years ago flies in the face of the Young Earth Creationist view that the earth was only formed 6000 years ago.

Making sense of the senseless is as inWhile you may have found recent posts in this thread not particularly intellectually stimulating, I was trying to make sense of how a serial thread derailer applied the tools of his trade here by undermining YEC, including contradicting his Boolean standards and the "Under no circumstances whatsoever is the Bible to be contradicted" prime directive.
Making sense of the senseless is as in vain as my Quest contra said serial derailment.
How does the Chicxulub impact mean that God didn't create the universe?
I mean, it is true that God could do anything, but it brings up the question of why he would intentionally, in a 6000 year old earth, making everything appear to be, and for all intents and purposes be, magnitudes older than it really was.
I think the reasons are obvious, don't you?
Some things that require age were brought into existence ex nihilo and ex materia.
My favorite example is raisin bread.
Suppose God created loaves of raisin bread to feed the hungry.
Would you accuse Him of "intentionally making them appear to be older in order to deceive the hungry"?
It's not the same thing at all.
Ya ... actually it is.
It's this simple:
Things don't work properly until they're mature, and maturity comes at different times.
An apple matures within 135 days, whereas radiohalos take thousands of years.
But God can create both an apple and a radiohalo in the blink of an eye.
Both fully mature.
Yes, God can create things in the blink of an eye, true.
But to what purpose would God create the entire world with billions of years of history if He only created it 6000 years ago,
... and apparently doing so that former time frame is a lie but the latter is the truth? Why?
He didn't created the world with billions of years of history.
He created the world with billions of years of maturity.
I'm talking about maturity without history.
