That would be valid if the only Jews living in Israel were decedents of those Jews. I suspect they aren't.
tulc(thought this was interesting: http://www.livescience.com/40247-ashkenazi-jews-have-european-genes.html ) :)
No not all the Jews living in Israel are OJews, but the way the men dress is very distinctive.
So only look at pictures of Orthodox Jews, Samaritans, and Arab peoples and you probably will get a good idea of what Jesus may have looked like.

Is that Jesus? Or Sir Ian playing Gandalf?

ian_mckellen_96507.jpg
I would have no problem with Sir Ian playing the Christ!

And I would not have trouble with Eru Ilúvatar playing the part of God the Father...

You're right, Jesus probably didn't look like this. This picture portrays someone who seems quite kept in appearance. Jesus would certainly not have had the wealth to be this groomed. Jesus would likely have been simply unshaven, this figure looks far too neat for an itinerant apocalypticist wandering the desert.

Other than that, is your post racist...?
I'm guessing since the beard was probably the first to go. They did the measurements of what his Descendant would be and drew a nice beard, since he had a beard.

FROM THE BIBLE!!!!!!!!

This is just so basic!!!!

1 Corinthians 11:14:
Doth not even nature itself teach you, that, if a man have long hair, it is a shame unto him?
But if a woman have long hair, it is a glory to her: for her hair is given her for a covering

Do you understand why this is? At the head of the man is Jesus!

1 Corinthians 11:3:
But I would have you know, that the head of every man is Christ; and the head of the woman is the man; and the head of Christ is God.

There are men in the bible that had long hair, that doesn't mean they did the right thing. For an example, David commited adultry, Samson commited fornication etc. Does that mean it's the right thing?!?!!?!???

This is just more of the controling rubbish that the Bible portrays from a primitive time when control was everything. Hair grows - if you want to cut it, fine, if you want to let it grow, fine too. Deal with it.

The facts don't support your link.

From your link:

From "Wood and Woodworking in Late Ottoman Damascus" by Marcus Milwright, Associate professor à l'University of Victoria, Department of History in Art, Islamic Art & Archaeology:

2 x 8 Syrian cubits would be equal to 1.32 m. x 5.44 m., but the shroud measures 1.1 m. x 4.4 m., according to Wikipedia.

Your link is also contradicted by this link (note that the author is also arguing for the authenticity of the shroud):

Apparently, even the those that are convinced the shroud is real can't agree with each other.
John 20:6-7King James Version (KJV)
6 Then cometh Simon Peter following him, and went into the sepulchre, and seeth the linen clothes lie,

7 And the napkin, that was about his head, not lying with the linen clothes, but wrapped together in a place by itself.
Now can you see the problem with thd shroud of Turin?

11 But Mary stood without at the sepulchre weeping: and as she wept, she stooped down, and looked into the sepulchre,
12 And seeth two angels in white sitting, the one at the head, and the other at the feet, where the body of Jesus had lain. - John 20

I think the angels have the ability to rearrange things!

But not a word on changing Jesus's burial shroud from multiple pieces of cloth, including a separate piece for the head, to the single piece of cloth which is the shroud of Turin. Given the fact that it's first mention in history says that it is a forgery, that the radiocarbon dating says it's medieval, and that it contradicts what is in the bible( should be important for some) the only reasonable conclusion is that it is a fake.

othonion - a piece of linen, small linen cloth - Linen clothes is translated singular in the Greek

I don't find the image that offensive. I mean we currently make Him look like some perfect man. Perfect hair, perfect blueish eyes, perfect white skin (no comment)...etc. He surely looked like alot of other men in that area (aka not america). There is that shroud but I never fully felt it was real. Just feels off to me.

Well, then, people can harden themselves against the spiritual, so not everyone. As far as the image in the OP, I cannot believe that the gentlemen creating that image of Christ has experienced him on the spiritual level at all, otherwise the image would have appeared differently.
Like more Caucasian?

How is a difference of opinion, about a rendition of what Jesus might have looked like, considered to be an insult? How does someone getting the formula wrong, translate to insult? This makes no sense at all.

Once more - How are you insulted?

Here is a video of a woman speaking in tongues in our church... How do I know it was real? Because I, having been there, could sense the Holy Spirit in the sanctuary.

Here is an image of the Lord Jesus Christ. How do I know it was real? Because I can sense the divine nature on his countenance.

But the natural man receiveth not the things of the Spirit of God: for they are foolishness unto him: neither can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned. - 1 Corinthians 2:14

A man who is not spiritual has no business trying to create an image of Jesus!

And what gives Ray Downing expertise over all these places that conducted those studies? It was the Vatican itself that sent those samples out for testing and they all agreed as to the results.
What gives the Vatican absolute authority in this matter?
As I stated previously, if someone watches the Ray Downing documentary broadcast on the History channel and available in full at You Tube, they'll have the answers to such questions as that which you pose.
