Saved by Grace doesn't mean our works don't matter. Ephesian's over all context screams this.

The following text in Ephesians is to often ripped out of context to imply it doesn't matter what we do because we are saved by grace.

Eph 2:8.9 For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: Not of works, lest any man should boast.

Ephesians 2, verse 10. It says we are his workmanship created in Christ Jesus, for good works, which God had before ordain that we should walk in. The fact that verse 10 starts with the word “for” Lets us know what is about to be said is the reason for what was just said. So the reason why It is not of works that we do is because we are his workmanship created in Christ Jesus for the good works that God preordained that we should walk in. That we should be holy and without fault before Him in love. Eph. 1:4
Ephesians 4:24, says in context to us, being his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus, that we are to put on the new man which, after God is created in righteousness and true holiness. Then in context to us being his workmanship, and putting on the new man created in Christ Jesus, in righteousness and true holiness verse 25 in chapter 4 starts with the word wherefore. This shows us that there is a contingency or condition in respect to us, having put on the new man which, according to God, was created in righteousness and true holiness. It says for us to put off speaking falsehood. And that we are to speak truth with our neighbor, because we are one with one another. That when angry, we are not to sin and let the sun go down on our wrath. Giving no place for the devil. Then in verse 29 in relation to the quote above, it says, let no corrupt communication come out of our mouth. But only that which is good and edifying in respect to other people’s needs.
Then continuing, and in the same context, chapter 5 starts with be therefore imitators of God, and walk in love. Not letting fornication, uncleanness and covetousness be named among us but be as saints. For this, we know that no fornicator or unclean person or cuffs, who is an idolator has any inheritance in the kingdom of God and his Christ.
Be not deceived. Because of these things comes the wrath of God. Because they are disobedient. BE not partakers with them.

Jesus gave us many instructions and commands to fulfill which is the duty of a Christian. He didn't add that we will or will not be saved to these, because that's not what doing them is about. We do so for Him not us, because we love Him.

Speaking to people in the faith Paul wrote through Christ in Ephesians. Be not deceived. Because of fornication and what not comes the wrath of God. Because they are disobedient. BE not partakers with them.

Your initial salvation is a gift. And that gift will never be withdrawn from you. However; once that gift has been given you have been
empowered to become a son of God, which is what the rest of Ephesians 4 is speaking to. Jesus as well when speaking of the
"kingdom can be likened to" is speaking mostly to those whom have or will be chosen to become sons.
Initial salvation(the starting point) allows one to "see" the kingdom (sonship) then your entering it requires effort on your part. How quickly
you get in and further down the path is determined by your ability to crucify the flesh along with the carnal mind and become holy. Follow
your internal guide.
It is an internal battle against your greatest foe, the evil in you, your carnal mind. Your fighting a spiritual battle while still in a physical world,
you see, feel, hear, smell, taste and all these are elements that the carnal mind uses to suck you back in to its lusts. Your job is to overcome the carnal by becoming stronger spiritually and put your body under spiritual control, and not allowing any carnally minded control.

The wrath is what can be expected if one turns aside from the gift of becoming, that wrath is used to turn one back to the original
goal. As the gifts and calling are without repentance, God will have what He determined He would have from you. The time frame
to completion is irrelevant, for that will be the final outcome. Some and very few will make it into that realm in the first TIME
but as Eph 1:10 shows, all will be at that final destination once all the times have been fulfilled. Thats another subject.

The call to godly living that you reference here is found in several other lengthy passages in the New Testament. Included in them are four chapters in Romans (Rom. 12:1–15:16), two chapters in Galatians (Gal. 5:1–6:10), two chapters in Ephesians (Eph. 4:17–5:21), two chapters in Colossians (Col. 2:6–3:17), three chapters in Titus (Titus 1:5–3:11), three chapters in James (James 1:12–25; 3:13–4:10), and three chapters in 1 Peter (1 Peter 1:13–2:12; 4:1–11).

When studied together, a pattern emerges. They all contrast "walking in the flesh" with "walking in the Spirit". They warn us that the flesh is corrupt, has bad fruits, and will never change. They inform us that we are new creatures in Christ, created truly holy and righteous in the inner man, and one Spirit with Him. And they say that we must live out the new lifes we have in Christ in order to not fulfil the lusts of the flesh. In short, they tell us that to live successful Christian lives, we must take advantage of the platform of righteousness that God has given us in Christ and not attempt to make the flesh something it can never be.

Yes. And this has been the continuous teaching of the Christian Church from the beginning.

Your initial salvation is a gift.
Yes, this is a good way to understand it. Some use the term "initial justification". Because if one is justified, then they're saved. But we can fail to walk in this new justice, we can return to the flesh, etc, living unjustly, IOW, and therefore compromise our salvation.

No, your salvation is/was a gift if you truly received the gift,( faith and love of Jesus Christ, and the Baptism of the Holy Ghost). This is an
experience you will never forget. If you got it then you know it, for you did hear Him at least a few times. The love that overflows one
lasts quite some time, weeks, a month or two and your a mess that cries about everything as the presence is overwhelming, but in
a fantastic way.

That gift is never withdrawn as the gifts and calling of God are without repentance. OSAS
The problem I see with most theologians is they do not divide the word correctly.
Initial salvation is a gift, but the working it out requires effort on your part in order to be conformed to the Image of the first born Son.
Once gifted salvation that is yours period. What you do with the gift that empowers you to BECOME a son is the working it out part and
a different conversation.

Since you have been gifted faith and love that comes from the abundance of Jesus Christ, if you refuse to work it out in becoming
a son, or turn back to the worldly lusts, or get deceived, you do not mature and are not allowed in at the end of the first TIME.
However, as the gift is never repented of by God you will eventually become what you were predestined to become. A son.
Those that turn back will be looking for vengeance and they will have it during the second death, but that is not what most think it is.
It is a period in which those who have been resurrected but have fallen short or simply not called in the first will start again right where they
left off. This is why they are judged according to their works. If they were just for tossing in the fire, why judge according to works?

Oba 1:21 "and saviors shall come upon Mt Zion to judge the mount of Esau, and the kingdom shall be the Lords." (Esau-non elect)

Jesus was given all power in heaven and earth and judgement. We see that His judgement is to perfect a first group of sons, first fruits.
What then do the first fruits do when with the Lord? They are the judges of the mount of Esau throughout the second death that
produces another fruits company of sons. Thus of the INCREASE of His government AND PEACE there shall be no end. Isa 9:7

The body of Christ, composed of all completed sons will rule, and continue to grow as each TIME(death period) passes.
We know that He sat down in His Fathers throne and we who do overcome are to sit with Him in that same throne, (a position of authority)
He was perfected so that we could be perfected, then we who are perfected will help the next group until all have come to the knowledge
of the Son of God and have entered into the life that was bought and paid for by Jesus Christ. Rom 5:18 and 1 Co 15:21-23

I may be getting ahead a bit but its hard to contain, freely received, freely give, but it is still line upon line, and precept upon precept
here a little there a little. Good hunting.

That's an opinion-and one not supported conclusively by Scripture by any means. Salvation happens the moment we're justified, because we now exist in a state of justice/righteousness before God. That's the cause of salvation. And we can fail to remain in that state of justice, by straying from Him and back to the flesh, trampling upon the free gift as we make shipwreck our faith.

Now, to the extent that we've been "perfected in love", our wills cannot again waver; we will not stray, or sin. But that perfection won't be complete until we finally meet Him "face to face", in the next life where we'll know just as we're fully known. 1 Cor 13:12

Your not hearing me. The gifts and calling are without repentance.
NKJV Rom 11:29 "For the gifts and the calling of God are irrevocable."
Irrevocable-not able to be changed, reversed, or recovered; final. There is scriptural support.

You were justified unto life before you were born in the flesh by the one righteous act of Jesus Christ 2,000 plus yrs ago
Rom 5:18 NIV Consequently just as one trespass resulted in condemnation for all people, so one righteous act resulted in justification
and life for all people.
KJV Therefore as by the offense of one mans(Adam) offense judgement came upon all men to condemnation, even so by the righteous
act of one (Jesus) the free gift came upon all men unto justification of life.

You just weren't made aware of it until recently. And that was after you were called out by Him.

There is a difference in Initial salvation and working out your own salvation. You can see the kingdom only after being
born of the Spirit, that is the justified part brought to life in you, paid for by JC, the working it out is the becoming what
you were predestined to be, a son.

We don't even know who, exactly, is being addressed in such passages, or if those words necessarily applied to everyone who first heard them. We do know that we're the wildcard, not God. You're will is involved to one degree or another from the moment you say yes to God's grace, opening the door when He knocks, until the moment you die, hopefully having confirmed, strengthened, and otherwise persevered in that "yes" until then. Grace is ever-present-and God wants none to perish. To the same addressees:

"For if God did not spare the natural branches, he will not spare you either. Consider therefore the kindness and sternness of God: sternness to those who fell, but kindness to you, provided that you continue in his kindness. Otherwise, you also will be cut off." Rom 11:21-22

Rom 11:23 And if they also, if they abide still not in unbelief, shall be grafted in, for God is able to graft them in again.
25- For I would not brethren that you should be ignorant of this MYSTERY, lest you should be wise in your own conceits, that blindness
in part has happened to Israel UNTIL the fullness of the Gentiles be come in.

26- And so ALL Israel shall be saved.........
28 As concerning the gospel they are ENEMIES for your sakes, but as touching the election, they are beloved for the fathers' sakes.

Now back up a bit to
Rom 11:8 as it is written GOD GAVE THEM A SPIRIT OF STUPOR, EYES THAT COULD NOT SEE, AND EARS THAT COULD NOT HEAR,
TO THIS VERY DAY.

What has changed with respect to the Jewish nation? Not much, they still seek to rebuild the temple and reject Jesus as the Messiah.
Still carry on the Mosaic Law etc...... So are the blinders still on for most of them? Who put them on them?

It should be apparent that your will has nothing to do with the gift of salvation as the Jews to this very day are still blinded, and you who
were also blinded in the same way have had your blinders removed. So no boasting, nor being conceited.
Your thinking it was your will that brought you salvation makes it not a gift.

As I stated earlier, once initial salvation, the infilling, being born of the Spirit has occurred, then your will has a lot to do with the
working out your own salvation. Becoming what you were intended to become, a son of God. Can we lay down our own will in favor
of His perfect will for us? Jesus did, lets hope we can as well by being obedient and maturing into His Image.

Notice the verse you quote says "provided that you continue in His kindness" You nor I garnered that kindness by our own wills.
It was God who removed the blinders and opened the ears to hear and see. Mercy! Grace!
Just as Paul describes in 1 Ti 1:13-14

It's not about our conceit; it's just about God's will, in how He saves: with our consent.
Notice the verse you quote says "provided that you continue in His kindness" You nor I garnered that kindness by our own wills.
We do nothing to garner His kindness, but we can reject it. Here's a related concept:

"For if you forgive men their trespasses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you. But if you do not forgive men their trespasses, neither will your Father forgive yours." Matt 6:14-15

with our consent?????? If thats not conceit I do not know what is!

We do nothing to garner His kindness, but we can reject it. Here's a related concept:
You are correct in regards to garnering kindness, that is why it is a gift. The rejection is in not becoming the son you were empowered
to become, not your initial spiritual birth.

"For if you forgive men their trespasses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you. But if you do not forgive men their trespasses, neither will your Father forgive yours." Matt 6:14-15
This quote is very true but it applies rather to the ones who are attempting to get a foothold in the kingdom as they are already
born of the Spirit.
That does not mean its not a good practice for the non-born again person, for to practice it now only makes it easier as they
begin to press in.

You were a washed and clean sinner when the time of your new birth took place. What comes next is the realization of what just took place.
Now it's your turn to start forgiving, if you have not already been doing that. So that you remain forgiven of what ever trespass you may
commit in the future.
You need to remember that Jesus said that His words were Spirit and they were life. A non born of the spirit person can't truly understand
His words for they are still 100% carnal and will see what He said as literal and thus death. Just 180 degrees opposite of what they mean.
