Your pretty dumb. First of all the thing about having to be christian to be satan. Is wrong. The satan I believe in is not a god, he is a symbol of opposing god and jesus. My suggestion is do some reading .

To defend God would somehow imply that God is being threatened in some way. You say your satan is a symbol of opposing God and Jesus. You can oppose things all day long but it doesn't mean the thing you're opposing is threatened. Plus, I mean, the whole symbols mumbo-jumbo...if you really are the symbolical antithesis of God and Jesus then you're simply living a self-based existence. [Not as unique sounding as "satanism" i know.]

Self-reliance, self-centeredness, selfishness, self-pity, pride, narcissism, etc and ad nauseum...self, self, self. All those self words and that's no different than any other troubled person I know - myself included. The thing with God and/or Jesus...or any other religion I can think of is that they try to overcome the self-absorption of earthly/fleshly/self/ego induced enticements.

So you see...satanism really does NOT exist as a symbol outside of the pre-existing condition of humans that we've been struggling with since the beginning of time.

You can be a satanist if you want to, is what i am saying, but that won't make you any different than any other human who puts their carnal and base self-seeking behaviors before anything else.

No one can prove what happens after death. So to me it is very irrelevant and unimportant.

What Valhalla said. I'm a theist, but it doesn't matter to me if there's no afterlife. If there is one, I'm sure my Gods will take care of me in it. If not, what I believe is still relevant to this life and makes me a happier person.

As a Theistic Satanist, I feel that I should respond to this thread.
I have always failed to see why it is that modern Satanists choose to only represent the adversary to Christ, when there are many other religions with a similar God, and prophets. Satan was a name most likely originally used for the shock value, to shoot the popularity of the 'church of satan' to great heights because of the controversy of its name. Why is it that you feel you need to stand under the name of Satanist? You can believe exactly the same without the controversial name.

No fun to be the antithesis of an extraordinary symbol of goodness/enlightenment from human suffering [Buddha] when one can be THE antithesis of THE symbol-head which causes so much controversy in the first place and is THE religion of the free world...the head of Christianity a la Jesus Christ.

When I said ive been a satanist for a month. I didnt mean I didnt read up on it just as much, I just got to the point of having enough knowledge to decide if it sounds rational.
