How truly discouraged i am at the attitudes i am finding here.

Why couldent anyone find the heart to tell CR that there are only two really important comandments to follow. Love God with all your heart and mind and soul. And Love your neighbor as yourself. If you can just do thoes two things everything else is taken care of aint it ? Why dident anyone tell him that we ( christians) ask for forgivness everyday because we sin everyday. I may not rob a bank but i dont always think Godly thoughts about other people. In Gods eyes its all the same. I am only saved through Gods grace and Love. Why couldent anybody tell him about the miracle of of what God did in your own life to make you belive that God is real ? Why couldent one of you (christians) reach out to him in love instead of heaping abuse at him ? He was blatently reaching out for some real answers to his personal questions. Couldent any of you look past his vulgarity and childish behavior long enough to tell him about how God Forgave you (and looked past all your sins) and made you one of his Children ?
How truly disapointed i am at the lost opertunity to reach a lost and hurting soul for Christ.

I wouldn't say that every modern satanist is a rebellious child, i know adults of over 30 who are modern satanists.

Like I said, most grow out of it nearing the end of adolescence. Some people never do.

I agree, I've seen the one that was mentioned earlier, using satan as a symbol of free will and stuff, but I've also seen a page which talked about satanism as the worship of satan and several of the babylonian gods and goddesses, I'm sure theres some other forms of satanism, such as the stereotypical chicken pee drinkers and human sacrificers as well. who knows how many satanisms there are

Like I said, most grow out of it nearing the end of adolescence. Some people never do.

And some people come to it after achieving maturity and casting about
because the spiritual path of their youth holds no more relevance for them.

I don't mean to hurt your feelings here.
If someone does not believe in God, how would he love Him?
Do you think people who don't believe in God are necessarily deceieved?


One last question: If you say love God with all your heart, why shouldn't I love Him with all my heart?
Heart is the seat of pure emotions. Such hearts can even want to worship God by giving an image to Him.
By saying Love God, do you mean the Bible version of God, or just God?

I would like to elaborate on my point. I would like to request you for a moment to think outside the Holy Bible. Take the case of India. The Vedas came first. They were mainly composed of hymns to various qualities of God. But they were just figuratively calling these qualities as Gods. After the Vedas, came the Upanishads. They tried to interpret the Vedas by Philosophical Speculation. After the Upanishads came the Vedanta schools of thought. They were at the same time preaching extreme detachment while at the same time advocating extreme devotion. In between these came the Budha. Once he got enlightened he saw the various unnecessary rituals and Gods in Hinduism. WHile he taught his philosophy, he cut off from Hinduism and now there is a great group of followers of Budha who even though think philosophically but give Budha more importance or equal importance to what he taught. If he was still in Hinduism he would have been called a guru(teacher), nothing more nothing less. Then a guy came by the name Shankara in the 8th century A.D. He looked at what is happening. He saw Budhism on the rise and Hinduism on the decline. He proposed his own theory to bring back Hinduism and all its Gods to popularity. He said "God as a creator of this world is just an illusion of the human mind. The human soul has to understand his true nature and once he does that there is no God, no idol, no human, no universe, only Bliss. But as long as one is still under illusion, let the man worship that illusory God in whichever illusory ways. But since in Hinduism we have rebirth, make sure that you don't do bad things while going about your own way."
In a single stroke, he told at once that God is just a product of the human mind and He can also be worshipped through idols. He could have just turned his back on the idols and just split away from Hinduism with his own philosophy and today many people would be following Sankaraism along with Budhism. Finally, he said "Realizing the truth about yourself would free you from this illusion".

He was basically elaborating on Jesus' teachings who came 7 centuries before him. Now just take your Bible and go to John 8:32:"And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free".

I am beyond any dialogue with this little one. When he decided to say F about Jesus, the possibility of there ever being a conversation ended, unless of course he wants to repent and act like a human being. And, contrary to your view, I think I am pretty dang funny. I crack me up!

I think this guy should read more instead of watching Chris Rock live on Broadway. Maybe if he reads he will have more intelligence on his religion instead of insulting someone.

When he comes back and can actually defend his religion. I wont have such pity on him.

I have just as much proof the Gods I believe in exist as Christians have that their God exists. I'm in no place to argue that your beliefs are false or that mine are true. I believe what I believe, as you believe what you believe.

I took no offense at what you said and understand that you are just stating your beliefs so that others know where you are coming from...

Although i was never invovled in Satanism myself I was the High priest of a Left-Hand Path Coven here in Australia before becoming a Christian so have at least SOME understanding of what you are saying...
