Liturgical traditional Christians understand that those Christians who pass from this life into the presence of God are not dead, but Protestant evangelicals believe Christians that pass from this life into the presence of God are dead.

If they do not come from God, they are not just ineffective but can become a demonic doorway.
Have you actually purchased these things already?

Um, I think the same could be said of the toothbrush I bought at the supermarket last week.

I see no text in the Bible that says we should have a patron saint. God is our protector, and only He. If He should choose to send an angel, He can. We do not have this authority.

The pendants are meaningless ... just cheap commercialization. Almost a form of idolatry.

About art supplies ... check YouTube. You can make a lot of your own, incl. Gesso and Fiberpaste.

    Blessings!!

How can you be martyred but not dead?

If Hitler was martyred is he also not dead?

Or is it only special people?

How did they biblically get that place of honor?

I think the whole problem boils down to the fallacy that some ...holier than thou...people still are living even though they were martyred.

You disbelieve Christ, that those who believe in Him shall live, though they die, and shall never die? That those in Christ yet out of the flesh are alive with Him in Heaven?

Because God is not God of the dead but the living Mark 12:27, John 11:25. Those who are blessed to transition into the presence of God are more alive then we are. Those in God's presence are the Church victorious and those of us down here are the Church militant. As you can see in Revelation those martyrs are not dead at all, the dead don't talk. We are surround by a great cloud of witnesses (Hebrews 12:1) witness are those alive, the dead know nothing. Christ promise is that we who are in Him are alive John 11:25

Which heaven are you referring to?

So you believe we never die?

What happens at the end of your life?

Did you consider that our spirit lives on?

No where in the entire bible does it condone speaking or inquiring of those in the afterlife. God forbids it.

The question is, Natsumi, as a Christian, do you believe Christ?

That is an interesting question because many evangelicals are taught not to without realizing it I firmly believe

You have yet to answer mine, Natsu. Do you believe Christ's words?

There is no biblical proof that saints in heaven have any control over individual lives on earth right now. These things can lead to superstition, at the minimum.

It's a catholic tradition based in paganism. No scriptural support, but people go with it because it's such an old tradition.

Intercession of the Saints — Church Fathers

Rabbinic Jews, though they reject Christ, also have this practice.

Is it okay to ask a deceased tzaddik to pray on my behalf?

I find the above link helpful, if for no other reason than to help folks realize that the Apostolic Christian practice is itself deeply Jewish in origin; not Pagan. The Church being the fulfillment of Israel, spiritually.
