We were given some disturbing news today....a level 3 sex offender has moved into the house across the street from us! :swoon:

I just don't know what to think or do. It is mind baffeling.
My hubby grew up with the woman who's boyfriend this is too. :o yikes! And she has a 7 year old daughter!!!!
Well, since he had to register with the local authorities, child protective services took her 7yr old daughter and her 15 yr old son out of the house. they are now with their father.
Can you believe that this woman chose her sex-offender boyfriend over her own children???!!!!!!

I'm new here, and am enjoying reading the last page about the pottie-training! LOL I'm just starting with my two year old. What a chore!
welcome to the SAHM thread!
and do not be discouraged by potty training!
Each child is different...your child may take to it right away...
or you may have to take a break for a month and go back to it!
just be patient and consistent!
see you around!

I am praying safety over your family, Mare, and I am praying that Christ convicts that man's heart and soul.

Otherwise, that is the enemy's playground, and I don't understand anyone like that woman; not in a million years!!!!

No prob.
I'd always rather that someone is led to Christ, but if they are not open to that, ever, then they may be considered enemies in the sense, they had opportunity to choose the Lord, and pushed Him away; He may not knock anymore at their door.

I pray first for salvation and repentance, but if not, I have prayed bad people away more than once, for the sake of my family's safety and/or mental health.

WHEN YOU THOUGHT I WASN'T LOOKING
(written by a former child)

When you thought I wasn't looking,
I saw you hang my first painting on the refrigerator,
and I immediately wanted to paint another one.

When you thought I wasn't looking,
I saw you feed a stray cat,
and I learned that it was good to be kind to animals.

When you thought I wasn't looking,
I saw you make my favorite cake for me,
and I learned that the little things can be the special things in life.

When you thought I wasn't looking,
I saw you make a meal and take it to a friend who was sick,
and I learned that we all have to help take care of each other.

When you thought I wasn't looking,
I saw you give of your time and money to help people who had nothing,
and I learned that those who have something should give to those who don't

When you thought I wasn't looking,
I saw you take care of our house and everyone in it,
and I learned we have to take care of who and what we are given.

When you thought I wasn't looking,
I saw how you handled your responsibilities, even when you didn't feel good,
and I learned that I would have to be responsible when I grow up.

When you thought I wasn't looking,
I saw tears come from your eyes,
and I learned that sometimes things hurt, but it's all right to cry.

When you thought I wasn't looking,
I saw that you cared,
and I wanted to be everything that I could be.

When you thought I wasn't looking,
I learned most of life's lessons that I need to know to be a good and productive person when I grow up.

When you thought I wasn't looking,
I looked at you and wanted to say,
"Thanks for all the things I saw when you thought I wasn't looking."

I spanked my 4yr old today. :(
he pooped in his pants instead of the toilet.
he's been doing this for quite some time now, and i don't know what to do about it.
i kept him home from preschool, and i sent him to his room.
Later i appologized for spanking him, and he appologized for pooping in his pants.
I am lost on this one.

hi

i am a SAHM to 3 boys and i am homeschooling them. They are 6, 4 and 8mths old. Its hard going but rewarding.

marezee - the toliet training stuff is hard. With my 6 year old he would smear it everywhere. He was really naughty. With my 4 year old he was alot eaiser because he wanted to do things with his older brother. So he started earlyer and went through it pretty fast. THe joys of being a parent :)

hope the rest of your day is good :)

I am a SAHM. I used to work as a teacher. I took 12 months maternity leave when I had my daughter and planned to return to work but then found out I was pregnant again. My children are now aged 1 and 2. I do plan on returning to work once they are school aged but am starting to wonder how we are going to fit in our next child if I want to be back at work in a few years. I am also starting to wonder if I would prefer to continue to be a SAHM because I do enjoy it.

Whoa, tough job there, Angel. I am glad I am thru all the potty issues, but I remember them well.
I had more trouble with my girls than my boys; but with 3 boys ea, you and Mare are sure to be fast friends!!!

Hi Alexus!!
I quit when I was pg. with my oldest, who is now almost 15 and 6' 2", 165 lbs. LOL...not quite a baby anymore, and here I am with 5 more!!! My youngest is 4, and I plan on being an at home mom until they all move out, maybe...I still see they need me to be available even now.

Hi Alexus! I was in the same boat as you are now about 4 years ago. I found out I was pregnant with my second child when my first child was only 3 months old.
what a stressfull time! a one year old and a newborn! then to have a one yr old and a 2yr old! Boy! what fun!
they are 4 and 5 now, and i have a 2yr old as well.
I love being a SAHM. I wouldn't change a thing!
I too plan on returning to work once they are all in school.
welcome to our thread!

Hi ladies,

I am new here. Been a SAHM now for over 3.5 years. I have 2 boys. 3.5 year old and a 15 month old. I love being home with them although it gets hard sometimes. But this is my dream job :)

We are getting ready to move to a bigger place with hopefully a yard. That will be so nice. We can have a playroom and a yard. Right now we have neither and it is hard.
