Galena hung back holding tightly onto the reins of her horse, she did not want to get used to another horse. She knew that the horse needed to rest, food and water after a long ride. Traveling by horseback was always the last option for Galena when traveling anywhere.

Jared turned to Galena, she clearly was nervous about getting another horse. He wanted to tell her to get over her fear and pick another horse, but he had to act like an older brother.

Jared walked over to Galena and spoke in a low tone so the man and the boy couldn't hear. "listen, we need to get moving. the horses you guys picked were soft, the horses here will last us much longer. You won't have to get another horse after this, you even get to pick. if you don't pick I'll pick for you, and no guarantees that the horse will like you."

Jared turned to the boy that was to help them pick out horses. "help her find a nice horse, she normally doesn't ride, but make sure it's up to long travel."

Galena nodded her head when Jared spoke to her in a low voice. She was very glad that he told the stable boy to chose a horse for her. As the boy walked down the aisleway of stalls, she followed him to a stall close to the back of the stables. In it was a beautiful dark brown horse who was sticking it's head out over the door.

"Here is a good horse for you, she was a riding horse for a young lady who died just a week ago." he said gesturing toward the stall. "The family sold the horse because it was to emtional to keep it."

The horse stood with it's head hanging low, allowed the stable boy to harness and it followed him out of the stall to stand in the aisleway. Galena walked very slowly up to the horse and placed her hand on it's head. The horse lifted it's head bumpinng her backwards a few steps.

"Wow" the boy siad "That is the first time she has done that to anyone, she likes you."

the stable boy walked over and got a saddle off of the stall and started saddling the horse for Galena.

"What is her name" she asked as she continued to pet the horse.

"Her name is Penny, her owner had named her after the copper penny because of her coloring" responded the boy.

Galena nodded to this answer, she leaned toward Penny's ear and whispered. "You are special my dear girl, I think we will go well together"

Galena walked Penny forward to the stable doors to wait for the rest of the traveling crew as they got there horses. She had been very suprised when the horse took to her as fast as Penny did. Galena could sense that there was some sadness there in the story behind the horse's past.

Tallie worried about their old horses. Like Jared say they where soft, of corse the horses where soft. They had been noble's horses. Tallie just hope none of the stable hands would ask any questions about it. Then she remembered...
'Oh this is just great...' She thought as she looked down at her clothing.
"Eli and I are going to stick out like a sore thumb with our clothing. Would it be possible to buy some new one some where, some how?" Tallie quietly asked Jared, hoping no one would hear her. Tallie wished she had thought to grab a full length cloak instead of the short one she now wore.
It barely reached hips and did not have a hood. She tried to make sure the front of her dress was covered so it wouldnt attract much attention.

Jared nodded and pulled out a small bag of money. "here, knock yourselves out. I'll finnish things here. we'll meet at the tavern across the way in an hour."
