CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
Richard Dawkins disappoints again

I joined the Dawkins' forum 7 years ago to debate the evolutionists. I am not a modest person, so I would say that my superior debating skills were wrecking a havoc there. The members were cursing me; when I replied in kind the moderator warned me that I will be banned if I continue disrespecting the members. For three weeks I went on debating without saying a single 4-letter word, I was almost polite. They temporarily banned me for 2 weeks anyway, then allowed to debate again. In total I had 4 temporarily banns for not complying with the rules that they didn't bother to specify. Finally they permanently banned me, which was a disappointment because I could no longer make fun of their weak arguments. I was hoping that Dawkins would join the debates, but he, like an atheist god, was hovering above without joining the spat.
