CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

well a lot of people were posting pics of the confederate flag
that was kind of a weird controversy
I never identified with the confederate flag, and I understand that it HAS been used by racists
but in the last 30 years or so it has been used more by people who use it to identify with the good things from the southern part of the USA (sometimes called Dixie)
stuff like being simple folk, living in the country, just that life (you can even see a lot of African Americans who have used that flag)
so like, I see both sides of that, I do not think the symbol is hateful in itself, not how it is used currently
but it did bother me that a lot of people put it up JUST to be antagonistic
not long after that, the US Supreme Court legalized Gay Marriage all across the USA
and on Facebook a LOT of people put up rainbow flags
so I choose the Vatican flag to stand apart from those two problematic flags
I support the Church

turn off the faucet while walking to the door to answer it
the clothes might get wet, but after it rains they will dry again so no big deal
and the person calling can just leave a message on the answering machine
favorite color is blue
depending on the mood, a gentle almost sky blue, or a deep full bodied royal blue when I am feeling more energetic
I have a brown shirt with a pirates skull and cross bones on it

Well, if you've been around lots of babies, you'd know that you can't easily console a crying baby. It takes time and takes a lot of patience. Whereas for the faucet it just takes a few seconds to turn off. Also, I was worried of how wasteful it would be if I left it open.

I would have turned off the faucet since if its running I'd be standing right next to it. Then I'd take care of the baby and ignore the door and phone unless I'm expecting someone. And enjoy watching the rain.

I don't think I've ever watched that movie.
The batman films are definitely fun.
Arabic seems fun to learn, ever since I saw an Arabic alphabet and noticed it's almost the same as the hebrew alphabet.

Dr. Strangelove came out in the 1964, it is a dark comedy about Nuclear War
it is kinda messed up, like this comedy was made when people had a legitimate fear of being incinerated in a radioactive fireball and all life on this earth ending
you REALLY should see it, it was directed by Kubrick, the same guy who did The Shinning
like "peace" in Hebrew is Shalom, in Arabic it is Salam
I do not know how close it is, but they are both Semitic languages
"hey are you a NDSPDA? oh that is so NMDPND" or some gibberish like that
lol I never really understood it
if you know of a good test for that I would not mind trying it
I am not really much for personality tests
maybe it is just vanity, I like to think of myself as unique, nonparallel

Unfortunately I can't recommend any of the online unofficial MBTI tests as I think they are all inaccurate.
It's okay, not everyone is into that stuff.
Unicorns are pretty cool, but they probably eat a lot more than a little kitty does. I saw one once in the distance on a hill near sunset.

I ha had the opportunity to visit Italy twice in my life
both times I was able to see Rome and spend some time in the Vatican
the size and grandeur and history is overwhelming
