in the Philippines, the week before Easter, some people will have themselves Crucified, they have doctors there to help them as soon as the ceremony is over

it is repelling and compelling at the same time

some people in Opus Dei will still use sterner types of "mortification" like wearing little spikey chain around the leg for hours at a time, this is called a Cilice

Christ completed His saving work on the cross about 2,000 years ago, that paid for my sins

I was baptized into the Body of Christ, anointed priest, prophet and king in Him when I was 6 months old
I am being saved by His grace daily

well it all depends on how you look at it, you can say I was saved from sin 2,000 years ago when my Lord took up my sins on the Cross. I was Baptized into the Body of Christ when I was about 6 months old. since then I have had my ups and downs, growing closer to Christ and then backsliding
