Well that's embarrassing for anyone that voted for him.

I'll give them the benefit of the doubt and chalk some of it up to the fact that GOP voters skew older and may not have been on Facebook to see that story when it was happening. (sounds like it happened the day before election day)

Although, the cynical side of me remembers the Roy Moore situation...in which state GOP leaders not only acknowledged that Moore did something terrible, but said that voting for him was still better than voting for a moderate Democrat.

State GOP leaders in that case said:

David Hall said that the encounter was irrelevant because it happened "40 years ago".

Jerry Pow said that he'd support Roy Moore "even if the candidate had committed a sex crime" because he "wouldn't want to vote for Doug (Jones)."

William Blocker stated that he would still consider voting for Moore even if "hard proof of sexual abuse emerged".
