That's according to the English / American definition of "perfect", not accurate with Scripture. But none of us is perfect, and no matter how many years we have been in the faith, sometimes we mess up and get things wrong.
Hello yeshuaslavejeffThat's according to the English / American definition of "perfect", not accurate with Scripture.
Think for comparison how many parents with a 3 year old exlaim how perfect their child is.
Or how many misled sports fans jump and shout and holler that some player(s) are perfect ! ?
The Israelites were told the truth* by Yahuweh. He cannot lie.
The disciples were taught the truth** by Yahushua. He cannot lie.
* "you must be holy for I am holy"
**"you must be perfect, for your heavenly Father is perfect"
So it is not only possible, but was accomplished as written , and is still required.
smile .... good try, in the right direction....Hello yeshuaslavejeff
Yes you made a good point here. I guess another word for perfect could be 'exemplary' or 'unerring'. Would that sound better?
Repentence is not just a one off experience, but an ongoing attitude.
