I totalllllllly agree. This is my favorite place on the forum. I've been doing word games and counting games to get my post count up, but this is where I like to hang my hat, whip out my repweapon and do a little target shooting. I also enjoy the thread chats. I feel I've made some great friends here.

I think I'm getting spoiled now... I'm actually starting to get bored on the same threads everyone's playing on.

Prayer request

As some of you know, my job is being phased out and the work is moving to Ohio. I haven't been given my notice yet, but have started to test the waters on a job search. (I have been at the same company for 30 years. Many different positions.)

At 6pm tonight I have my second phone interview for a position that I am interested in. If all goes well, I will have the interview at the office the week after.

If you think about it, could you keep me in prayer that if this is the right position for me that all will go well.

Still working on the interview outfit. Got the suit, still need the shoes and bag.

and lots of coming your way. My husband has given his retirement notice and will be working his last day on 2/29. As much as we look forward to it, we're both a little frightened since he's been with his company more than 30 years and change of ANY kind is tough. I reallllllly wish you well and will pray, pray, pray.

Rosey - when you have your final interview I pray that God gives you the right words, a sense of comfort, security and confidence, and that you have a sense of peace about the entire process.

I can't start repping for twenty or so minutes........

It's raining here today! That is a very good thing as we were 11" below normal this week. I woke up twice last night because it was raining hard and I could hear it on the roof. Music to my ears.

I think my vacuum cleaner died yesterday. My husband wasn't feeling well last night so I didn't ask him to look at it. What kind of vacuum do you have? Do you like it? This one was an Oreck which I picked because it is very light and I have a connective tissue disease and this thing is easy for me to carry up and down the stairs when no one else is home. If it has truly bitten the dust (ha ha ha) I will need to get a new one quick as my Dad and step-Mom are visiting here on Friday.

Anyone else in a dinner rut? I am so unmotivated and uninspired with cooking right now. What are you fixing tonite?

I have been unmotivated as well regarding dinner. Both my wife and I are/were professional chefs, and we take turns cooking. I made a tortilla soup the other day, but overall the motivation has been lacking.

We have already had one flood this year, just a few days ago. As much as I hate snow, I'd rather have the snow than the rain we are getting now. The river hadn't gone down from the flood yet.

We have a Rainbow vacuum. It uses water as it's filter, and I love it a lot better than conventional vacuums.

I am in the cooking doldrums, too. I get a few good ideas and do them all at once and then I'm ready to go out to dinner. LOL.
