I have a theory about baseball. If a team doesn't win a Wolrd Series at least once every 100 years they should be disbanded and the players redistributed among all the other teams (based on need not on the ability of the Yankees to buy them). Remember the excitement of going into town in the last week before Christmas with your saved up pocket money safely in your wallet, and taking hours to choose the little gifts you wanted to buy for your family and friends? (Course, it took me so long because I loved the whole atmosphere of excitement, the coloured lights decorating every store and the anticipation of giving out the gifts on Christmas Day.)
Yup. We NEVER went back before Labor Day, and were always out by the end of May!
