Kaylee stood in shock. Jaden... gone.. nooo...

Fire shot towards her, but only a few flames licked her face. The rest had been blocked.


"Snap out of it or you'll get us both killed!"

Kaylee turned to see Thorn pass out.


Yes, Jaden's gone, but you can deal with that later. When your mother was killed, your fear and hesitation cost you the rest of your family. You have to fight now, cope later. Deal with what is now, not with what is gone. Come on Kaylee, deal!


The voice that had spoken to her only twice before in her life was there again. She didn't know who this person was, but she knew she had to listen. She Bent over and put her arm around Thorns waist. Then, using the remainder of her strenght, she lifted the both of them into the air.


Bring him to the forest. There is a stream there, It will help him.


Kaylee obeyed and flew towards the forest, hoping to find the stream in time.

((this is getting interesting!!!! now I shall make it even more interesting!!! and i had plans for htis in my last post... so dont think im just trying to add excitement to the RPG))

When Kelvin paused, the ground began to shake. Kim didn't know what to do, she had never heard of the ground shaking before. She picked Kelvin up, and levitated to the air. Watching the ground. She a random animal running in the forest and then she saw Kim with Thorn in the air. She watched the ground crack and open up. She watched the crack grow longer and longer and it eventually went towards the camp. She ran the opposite way in the air. She didn't know what to do.

Kelvin then said, "Don't be worried, it just an earthquake"
"What is an earthquake?"
"It is when the tectonic plates of Redtop collide. I didn't even think that that might be why this place is so barren and unhabited. Earthquakes don't happen often on Redtop. but where I come from it can happen ever so often."
"So you aren't from Redtop!"
"Nom thats not true. My father is from a different place you have never heard of, it is not known to anyone, not even the government. My father came from his planet to do research here where he met my mother. So I am from redtop, however, my heritage isnt."
"Do you know what this could mean?"

 

[Thunder_and_lightning!]

Ranuke scurried deeper into the forest, the squirrel's feet carrying him swiftly across the leaf covered ground. Feeling safer the farther he ran he gathered enough courage to climb one of the trees and look back. Scurrying up the tree and looking back though, he didn't see the housing buildings. Instead he saw a stray parachuter falling into the trees, releasing the safety harnesses that held him to the parachute when it caught in the trees.

Ranuke nearly gave a cry when he thought about his misfortune. How many other squirrels had he seen around here? None. He would stand out no matter what. Ranuke looked quickly about for possible escape routes and when he finally focused his attention the man again he saw that he had slung an assault rifle from his back. The man looked like he was waiting for people who had escaped just like him.

Ranuke began worry. Of course everyone would come into the forest, it provided the best cover. And he had to help them.

Jumping from limb to limb among the trees he drew closer to the man without him noticing. When he finally arrived in the branches of the tree the man was standing beside he slowly began to climb down the tree. Soon, he was on the trunk of the tree and the man still hadn't noticed.

Now or never. He thought, and jumped onto the man. If he had been in a larger form it might have knocked the man over, but he wasn't. Looking around in shock it took him a while to see the squirrel upon his shoulder. The man released a tremendous shout, dropped his gun, and began trying to hit Ranuke off of him.

Ranuke climbed about on the clothes of the man, dodging all of the blows directed at him.Still batting at Ranuke the man dripped over a nearby tree branch, losing his balance and falling over. Seeing this as an opportunity, Ranuke jumped off the man and swiftly shifted back into his regular form.

Ranuke grabbed the man's gun and swiftly turned around and aimed it at the man just as he was about to jump on him. The man quickly put his hands above his head and gave a nervous smile. Ranuke smiled and said, "So, give me three good reasons I shouldn't gun you down."

The man cleared his throat and Ranuke could see the sweat on the man's brow. He was afraid. Good. He would be less likely to try and do anything. After a few more moments the man stammered, " Well...um... uh, I've got a family you know. And, um... if I get killed my children won't have a father and.."

Ranuke sighed and listened to the rest of the man's rambling. Ranuke stood there a few moments more, hearing the droning but not listening. Soon it stopped and Ranuke sighed. Ranuke then gave the man a threatening look and said dangerously, "Is that all?"

The man's face looked even more nervous and Ranuke could see sweat running down his face. Ranuke heard the man finally say, "Well um..." but didn't wait to hear the rest. He hit the man over the head with the butt of the rifle and he crumpled to down, out cold.

Ranuke bent down and checked for a pulse, making sure he hadn't killed the man. Feeling a strong pulse, Ranuke nodded and strode off deeper into the forest with the rifle. He didn't spare the man because he had family. He spared the man because the man had shown him kindness so long ago.

Kaylee was flying towards the forest when she saw the ground begin to split open! What was this magic that could cause the earth to split!! What? She watched as the crack headed towards camp. Hopefully all the others could get to safety before it hit!

Down below, she saw Kim. She was holding someone. A man Kaylee had never seen before.. He looked hurt or even unconscious. She noticed a squirel scurry by. Huh. Odd. She would have to look into that later. But now, she had to see if Kim was alright. She couldn't lose another friend.

Jaden. While worrying about Thorn she had forgotten about him. The voice came again.

Forget him for now. Worry about the task at hand.

Kim nearly dropped Kelvin when she said that. She did however regrasp him and ran till she saw the crack stop, then she went back to the ground.
"Here, now you can walk."
"Thanks."
"Continue with your story!"
"Well, my father is from a planet far away titled Earth. And he would visit ever so often and tell me about it, and he took me there once. Then I came back. Earth is quite different. It is very green there. And it rains quite often there. Rain is water from the sky, which I'm sure you are educated about. Rain happens here on Redtop, but not very often. Kind of like earthquakes. Earth knows about this planet. They don't know people inhabit the place, but they know it exists. They are however make stations in between here and there to make it here. My father's technology was the only kind to make it this far. It is miraculous he got here. But when they discover people on here, who knows what could happen. And if aliens would go to earth, you would probably be killed. Which is why we cannot go there to train, if that is what you were thinking."
"It is, but I know nothing of other planets. So how does this explain your two abilities? Do people from earth have abilities too?"
"No, which is another reason we cant go there. The only person that knew about my second ability was my father. He was such a smart man. He studied many things and he told me there must be a mutation in my genes from me being half earthling and half redtopan."
"Interesting, is your mother or father still alive?"
"They both are still alive. They however live on earth."
"But your mom, she has an ability, she is from Redtop."
"Yes, but I'm sure she doesnt use it. If she does it is only in private." "I cannot believe I know an alien."
"technically i am not an alien, i was born here and raised here."
"True, have you ever wanted to go back to earth to see your father?"
"Of course, but our technology hasnt been developed like theirs because we aren't interested in the outside space. Redoptans have never been to their moon. They probably don't even realize the other 8 planets in the same galaxy or even know what the galaxy is. They probably don't even realize that the sun is a star."
"I want to go to earth."
"you can't"
"why not?"
"First, we don't have the technology to get there, second your not supposed to know about it, third you would immediately be noticed unless you landed in Antarctica and you cannot survive there, and finally, I won't let you go."
"Well, do you know how to make the plane to get there?"
"Yes,"
"Well then let's make the technology"

The whole time that Kelvin and Kim were talking, a young man sat in the shadows, lurking in the darkness. So it was true. There was more to this rebellion than just Redtop. There was an alien in their midsts!! He kbew that this was just the piece of information he was waiting for.

Kelvin snickered at Kim's comment. She just wasn't getting it. She saw the look on his face and commented.
"What is that look for? You look at me as if I am naive."
"In this situation you are." Just at this time Kim sensed something and she heard the grass move, very quietly. She knew animals didn't live in this area. The wind was not blowing. She whispered in Kelvin's ear.
"Someone is following us,"
"I know, it is a young boy."
"Oh, well, I want to know more about your time twisiting thing, earlier you said it takes a lot of energy if it is undeveloped. what does that mean?"
"I havent fully developed the ability. Don't you remember in grade school when you were learning to levitate how hard it was?"
"yes, i guess. Why did you develop invisibility instead of time twisting in school?"
"I discovered I had it first and in front of people, so I had to stick with that one."
"How did you discover your time twisting?"
"I was angry, and i went to take a walk in a forest. I lived in a rural area. The trees were red and nearly baren. I watched a leaf fall from the top of the tree, it was the last leaf. Then I noticed when moved my hand it started going back up, then it would fall, then it went back up. I freaked myself out. Then a few months later I tried it with something else. I did it again. So then I went and told my father, and that is when he confessed he wasn't from Redtop. I finished grade school a year early, and that is when I visited Earth."
"What was it like?"
"The one thing I remember the most was the moisture. There was water in the air, like not liquid but moisture. Humidity. Their atmosphere's were qite different. On earth there are seven continents. I went to all of them during my time there. I went to one school year with children there and learned what they were learning. The hardest part was what they call history. Earthlings seem to dwell on the past events of their countries. One country America is more economically stable than the others. But Rochina had more power. The continent of Afrika was the least developed of the six populated ones. The seventh, Antarctica, is so cold dry and windy that no earthling can live there. The animals on earth are endless. So many different kinds in the entire planet. They have even classified Earthlings as humans to separate them from the animals. The humans are the prominant species of the planet. They stand like us, and talk in languages as we do. They have different skin tones ranging from the deepest of browns to the lightest tan you've ever seen. When I went there, I looked like I was of the Indian race. My jet black hair and olive tone was just like the people from India. There was also different languages on Earth. People from one country couldn't communicate with eachother. I learned what they called Spanish. And since i lived in America, I learned English as my primary language. Before I went to school there my father taught me to read and speak English so i could communicate."
"It sounds spectacular."
"It is nothing like Redtop."
"Look!"
In the distance she saw city lights.

The boy listened to man discuss Earth and it's many peculiar characteristics. This was DEFINATELY the man the king was looking for. And now, he would give the soldier the exact location to the place to find him.

 

[Thunder_and_lightning!]

Ranuke kept tromping through the leaves going deepr into the woods. He noticed that something subtle was changing, yet he could not for the life of him figure out what it was.

It was not until he looked around to see what was changing that he noticed what it was. It was the ground! Little green plants poked out of the ground everywhere, and there was also an enormous crack in the ground.

Ranuke kept walking, marvelling at the plants on the ground and how the crack got larger as he went. Soon the trees began to become sparse, and up ahead he thought he could make three figures, two near some water and one in the bushes.

As he drew closer he saw another marvel, this wasn't just water, it was running water. And the two figures near the water were Kelvin and Kim. He hadn't seen those two since he had joined the Toron.

Ranuke glanced at the third figure yet couldn't seem to remember who he was. He also seemed a bit young to be one of the Toron. Walking over to the boy he put his hand on the boy's shoulder and said, "Why are you here? This isn't exactly where some one of your age should be unaccompanied."

((i've designed my CF character to look like my char Kim on here... except we don't use swords but I thought she looked cool with a sword...))

Kelvin was relieved to see city lights. He hoped the people were kind. He had money on him to rent a room. They approached the city.
"Kim, we are going to have to rent a room in this city and rest. So when we get there, find the nearest room for rent. I am going to go to the bank and I'll meet you in that food store there in ten minutes, not a second longer. If I don't get back, rent the room with this money. And get out of here as soon as you can."
"Kelvin, what is going on? You're scaring me."
"We're not in Blackpin anymore. The people aren't too fond outsider's here in Bluecup. We will however be getting out of here after we rest and clean up."
"Okay Kelvin, whatever you say."
Kim had never been to any country besides Blackpin and Redtop before the Toron meeting. She was somewhat scared. However, she wasn't going to use her real name. She always carried her fake ID wherever she went incase something like this would happen. She had never used it before, she was kind of excited to be a convict in a sort of way. She made her way to the nearest unoccupied room.

The boy jumped.

"I... I'm.. BYE!!!!"

The boy quickly turned and ran back towards the camp.

Kaylee returned to the burning ruins that she had considered her new home. Only last night she had been worried about leaving, and now it was gone. Only last night, she had been worried about how to tell Jaden she liked him. Now he was gone. Only last night, a lot of things were different.


There is a man in the woods. Along with an old friend of yours. They are near the city. You must find them quickly.

"Who are you that you speak to me this way??"

You will soon find out.

She walked down the first street she saw titled Humgee. She saw on the corner in a yellow light "Unoccupied." Then she looked up and saw it was a roomtower with many occupied rooms. The bottom floor was unoccupied so she quickly went to it. Deposited the money and she took the key. She then went back to the food store and met Kelvin there. "We have a room, just a block that way. Bottom floor."
"good, let us meet there."
They went back to the room. Before she knew it, he was holding her to gunpoint.

Kaylee flew towards the city, fearful of the man who could speak to her mind.
