Ranuke relaxed a little when he found out nothing was going to happen because he got in here. WHich brought him to to another question. "How'd you get in here anyway? Did you walk through the wall?" Ranuke smiled at his joke.

"Well... yeah, actually. I did. That's my ability. I'm gonna say your's must be shape shifting, eh?"

"yeah.. well it is late... im gonna go to bed... night"

The next morning Kim awoke to the sound of a plane... she looked at her watch. 4:00 AM.. She looked outside and saw an unfamiliar plane flying over head... she quickly ran to Kelvin's.

"Kelvin, wake up"
"how did you get in"
"we can talk about that later, there was a plane flying over us..."
"what?"
"that is why i came over here.. a plane, unmarked and unfamiliar, I thought i should alert you. We should probably secure the area farther and keep watch out. I can identify the plane if I saw it again."
"good, now let me get up and think about this"

Jaden sat awake in bed. He had had another nightmare about the day his family was taken from him. Then he heard a noise. That plane. He had seen it before. He knew that plane!

Kaylie lie awake, unable to fall asleep. Her family's shrieks of horror as the were murder rang in her memories. A noise?? A familiar noise. But what was it. The plane!! It had returned!!

(I'm back)

After a restless night thinking about the mission, Thorn was yanked into wakefulness by the noise of a plane flying over head. Looking out the window he saw that it was a plane in a similer design to the ones that transfered slaves to and from the varius slave markets that scattered the continants. Knowing what the sight of such a plane might mean, he straped on all of his knives and other kinds of weapons. "I had better find an officer and warn him that the compound might be about to be attacked by the emporers slavers." he said to himself as he sliped out of his room.

Kaylie ran into kIm's bedroom, but she was gone!! She had to do something. She wouldn't let the slavers attack again. Not again. Not ever. She had to stop the plane somehow. She opened her window and flew out. She decided not to be irrational. She waited for a sign, some sort of signal, that it was really them.

Thorn ran quickly down the stairs and then down the path looking for one of the any officers that strolled the paths at night to make sure everything was quiet. It only took a couple minets before he ran into one. "Hey your not supposed to be out at this hour" the officer said in a huff. "I know, but that plane that just past overhead, I've seen that kind of plane before," Thorn gets out in a light pant, "that is the type of plane that the emperor's slavers use. We need to tell howevr it is that needs telling to get ready for a possible attack." Just as he says this five flares are fired out of the plane lighting the whole compound. Thorn and the officer look at this for a second then at eath other and run off in oppisite directions yelling, "EVRYONE GET UP, ATTACK, SOUND THE ALARM!" Then Thorn sees that kaylie girl in the air and runs towards her incase she did anything foolish. "KAYLIE GET DOWN FROM THERE THEY MIGHT SEE YOU!"

After Jaden had left the room, apparently back to his, Ranuke fell onto the bed exhausted and fell asleep almost immediatley.

A few hours later a loud noise could be heard from outside. Ranuke groaned and look at the clock. It was still before 7 o'clock. He looked at his window and then reminded himself to close it every night so he wouldn't be woken up like this.

A few minutes later when he started dozing back to sleep, he heard someone shouting out side, "Everyone get up, attack, sound the alarm!" Being nearly asleep it took a few moments for his mind to comprehend this, but when it did he imeediatly jumped up and headed for the door.

Kim practically yelled at Kelvin , "You don't have time to think they are attacking!" Just as she said this the bomb she heard fall from the plane landed in the building where she slept. "Oh no, Kaylee!"
"Kelvin, we must abort this mission now, we cannot leave at a time such as this and we must relocate our secret area."
But before she finished she realized that Kelvin was no longer there.

Kelvin didn't know what to do. He couldn't use his second secret power, then everyone would go crazy. He didn't know why he was given two gifts but he was and one of them he could use to save everyone. He went to the top of his building, invisibly and started to twist his hands. As he did this everything started moving in a backward motion. He did this and eventually couldn't hold on to his invisibility any longer. He continued to twist his hands and twist. Until finally the planes had not reached the area yet. When he finished twisting he fell from the rooftop and fell into Kim's arms.

Kim stood there in amazement as she watched Kelvin rewind time. She watched him fall and she caught him in her arms. She wondered if she was the only one who wasn't affected by the time warp. She took Kelvin to his bed and warned the towers to sound the alarms for everyone to leave the buildings. Surely there were evacuation processes incase of an emergency. She then went back to Kelvin's apartment.
"Kelvin wake up"
"I've been awake the entire time Kim, thanks for bringing me in here."
"It isn't a problem. What are you?"
"I was afraid one person would notice. Did you alert security?"
"About the attack, yes. About you, no"
"How kind and tactful of you."
"Well until i know what you are I don't want to turn you in to the people underneath you. But we do need to leave right away before the attack comes.... again."
"I cannot move, time twisting takes a lot of energy when it is undeveloped."
"Are you from Redtop?"
"I'll explain later when I know everyone is safe. Will you carry me above the area to a part of the forest?"
"Certainly."

((btw, you don't know what is about to happen... since he rewound time... kim only knows because she was behind what he was rewinding... however... since all of you saw the plane earlier... you kind of do know... but ... just play with it... and you dont know he rewound time... its kind of a deja vu thing... ))

Ranuke woke with a gigantic yawn. He'd had a very strange dream. Yet, like most dreams that you remember that you even had one, he could only remember bits and peices. Ranuke let out another enormous yawn and stood up and stretched. He rubbed his eyes sleepily and made a mental check to never fly around as a hummingbird at midnight. Never. Just as he entered the kitchen of his little apartment he heard a noise from outside. It sounded a lot like a plane. But, hey, who needs to worry about a plane?

"...Hrmm...nrrm..." Thorn got out of bed, walked to the sink and splashed some water on his face. He had not been able to sleep very well. As he was walking back to his bed, to try to catch another 30min of sleep before catching the plane back to Redtop, he heard a rather loud banging noise coming from the front room. "Whoever that is better have a good reason for banging on the door at this hour..." he mumbled as he walked to the door. "Everyone out of the building, this is not a drill. Everyone out of the building, this is not a drill." shouted the man outside the door, Thorn could hear the similar things being shouted further up and down the compound. He had just gotten to ground floor when he heard the reason for the ruckus. Slaver planes!

Kim continued to carry away Kelvin to the forrest. The forrest wasn't dry anymore and she saw a beautiful stream and green grass. She couldn't believe her eyes. Kelvin told her to go down there. She did and they rested for a little bit. Kelvin was now able to open his eyes.
"Now, please"
"When the right time comes you will know."
"I won't take you an foot farther if you don't tell me. Quite frankly I am afraid of whatever you are."
"Well then I suppose this is the right time."

Kelvin didn't have a specific place to go to in the forrest, but he needed to get away from the area and fast. He knew there was a river in the forrest towards the very outskirts of it. When Kim described the transformation from dirt to grass, he knew he could stop there.
Kelvin felt strong enough to even open his eyes and look. The color green wasn't prominant among Redtop. He loved it when he could actually find a spot of grass to sit there and look at its beauty. After awhile Kim spoke.
"Now, please."
"when the time is right You will know"
"I won't take you a foot farther if you don't tell me. Quite frankly I am afraid of whatever you are."
"Well then I suppose it is the right time"

Kelvin sat there and pondered. Should I lie? or should i tell her the truth. I should tell her the truth, but the consequences... consider all of them. You could die Kelvin.
He just thought.
Kim jumped in and said, "Come on Kelvin, I won't say but to ease my natural fears, please tell me."
"I am thinking of how to say it."
"The easiest way would be to just say it."
"Well that part is easy... the explaination is the hard part" he smiled at her. She would be the only one, besides his parents to know.
"It's all about genetics... you see my parents -"

Kaylee lie awake in bed. She had been unable to sleep. That's when she heard it. The plane. She pinched herself. It hurt. The noise was so much like that of her nightmares, but now, she was awake. It was going to happen again. The slavers were back. She wouldn't let them have her new family. Jaden. Kim. They were her family now. And she wouldn't let them take any of them.

She threw on her clothes, opened the window, and flew out towards the plane, ready for a fight...

Jaden had slept better than most nights. No nightmares. Until the sound broke through his dreams. That sound that had taken his siblings away. The sound that had killed his parents. And the sound that was now back for more. He woke up with a jolt. No!!! It couldn't be!! He looked out his window. There it was. The slave plane. And there, flying towards it, was Kaylee!!!!

 

[Thunder_and_lightning!]

Ranuke yawned again and as he was about to open the fridge door he heard someone shouting outside. Tired and feeling quite grumpy he decided to go into the hall and see who the fool shouting so early in the morning was. When he opened the door he could make out what he was saying.

"Everyone out of the building, this is not a drill. Everyone out of the building, this is not a drill." That got his attention quickly, and woke him up too. Being already fully dressed from having fallen asleep in the clothes he was in last night he started for the exit of the building.

As he ran down the hall he decided to ask the person next to him what was going on. When the girl heard his question she gave him a blank stare and then said, "Didn't you hear it this morning? A plane came over earlier, and there is no legal airspace above here. Apparently it was a scouting plane."

Soon Ranuke had ran on ahead of her and out of the building through the main doors. Above he could see the plane and a little figure flying towards it. Ignoring the figure he put his attention to a larger object falling from an opening at the bottom of the pane plummeting towards one of the housing buildings.

He puzzled over what it was, but only for a moment or two. At contact with the roof of the building a huge explosion engulfed the building, killing the few people running out of the building and flinging those around thirty yards to the building a few feet into the air. Ranuke was almost hit by shrapnel flying at him but it went a few inches past his head. Then he began to feel a the shockwaves. These sent tremors through the ground effectively destroying smaller building around the area and almost sending him off his feet.

Ranuke quickly decided that being close to these buildings wasn't going to be safe. He could already see figures dropping from the plane and releasing parachutes. Looking at the nearby forest with the trees that could provide effective cover, he changed into the form and a squirrel and scurried off towards the forest.

As Kaylee flew towards the plane, she noticed tiny figures parachuting down.

She noticed the building blow up. The building Jaden had lived in. Where he still was. Tears began to fill her eyes. All she could see was a bunch of blurry parachutes. They were her target. She would take them out. She aimed for the first one. Appaently he was not expecting an arial attack. She smashed him over the head with her hand. Pulling a knife out of her pocket, she cut the parachute off of him. Down he flew. Her rage continued as she moved on to the next one. But this one was prepared. He aimed his hand towards her and fire flew from it! She tried to move, but she was too slow. It hit her left arm. Being distracted, she began to fall. Just above the ground, she caught herself and landed. She looked back towards the flaming building. Finally the truth sunk in. Jaden was dead.

Thorn was helping direct the flow of people towards the forest, along with some of the older and more level headed members, when the first bomb fell. Luckily, he remembered, the slaver planes only carry a max of three bombs, but three bombs can do a lot of damage. Next were the parachuters, he knew there were likely to be some flameweavers and a few hypnotists among their ranks to help with "crowd control". Just then he saw a figure falling to the ground, he knew it was Kaylee by the way the figure stoped a few feet from the ground and landed safely. He knew she saw the plane and the enemy men, but she just stood there. One of the men landed not 10 yards from her and he could see from the glint in his eyes that he was a flameweaver ((fyi, it's the one the got her arm in the air)). He left the mass of people and rushed towards them hoping that he could get there in time. He reached Kaylee just as the flameweaver sent out the first culing blast of fire and was able to block the blast from doing much damage to her, but he was not as lucky. Apparently the flameweaver thought that he had taken Thorn out of the fight for he was surprized when he found a throwing knife buried in his forehead. Just before he blacksout Thorn cries to Kaylee, "Snap out of it or you'll get us both killed!"
