Reading Malachi

Malachi has always been a hard read for me, mainly because it's hard for me to look past the historical and literal meaning behind it, namely, the Israelites were slacking off on their animal sacrificing and YHWH ain't happy about it!

Compared to some of the earlier prophets here Malachi's message seems almost at odds. Isaiah in particular seems to come across even as anti-sacrifice.

Regardless, I need to learn to discern the spiritual wisdom in all the scriptures more, instead of obsessing with analyzing it.
"Discernment".
From memory, last year sometime, I think I read in the Bible that not only is discernment a gift from Yahweh, and His revelation is required in order to know anything as well,
but that specifically discernment is granted by Yahweh as someone practices TORAH. The more TORAH lived in truth and faith and grace, abiding in Jesus, it seemed, the more discernment,
also while trusting Yahweh to accomplish everything concerning Salvation in this life and in the next, as written also....
