CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

i haven't read this whole thread, but i don't rate guys unless i'm joking around. Being rated makes me feel like i'm being judged and makes me feel like crap or that i'm part of some buisness deal (she's a 3 so she's only worth a chicken; she's a 9 so she's worth 2 cows and a goat.- well in theory of course)

I don't think there is anything wrong with having a general type of person to be attracted to - I have a "type" that I typically date. I think it becomes a problem when people rule someone out b/c they don't meet the criteria of the "type". Or when there is an urealistic standard (an airbrushed hollywood starlet or leading man) that is the "10" on the rating system.
If we keep our standards/expectations realistic then it makes more sense to compare someone to those standards/expectations.

I still think the ratings system is bad and no one can tell me any different. My system is strictly pass or fail and if later I find they are too fab to pass up they can be switched to pass. Same works in reverse.
