Jesus rode a foal of a donkey into Jerusalem. Jesus instructed his disciples to go into the village over AGAINST you
veiled language to the Law that is contrary to us. The village is the Law that is against us
.opposite
contrary to us.
(Mat 21:2 KJV) Saying unto them, Go into the village over against you, and straightway ye shall find an ass tied, and a colt with her: loose them, and bring them unto me.
The village is the handwriting of ordinances that is against us
.contrary to us. He will take it out of the way
..he will triumph over principalities and powers
.triumph over death.
(Col2:13 KJV) And you, being dead in your sins and the uncircumcision of your flesh, hath he quickened together with him, having forgiven you all trespasses;
14 Blotting out the handwriting of ordinances that was against us, which was contrary to us, and took it out of the way, nailing it to his cross;
15 And having spoiled principalities and powers, he made a show of them openly, triumphing over them in it.
Specifically, we are NOT TO COVET after other peoples gold, silver and apparel as Paul tells those who have been made overseers of the flock of God
over His church.
(Acts 20:33 KJV) I have coveted no man's silver, or gold, or apparel.
34 Yea, ye yourselves know, that these hands have ministered unto my necessities, and to them that were with me.
35 I have showed you all things, how that so labouring ye ought to support the weak, and to remember the words of the Lord Jesus, how he said, It is more blessed to give than to receive.
We must rule over sin in the revealing of the Truth
.it shall not have dominion over us in the revealed Truth of our Lord Jesus Christ....who is the "door." With His knowledge, we can rule over our sins.
(Gen 4:7 KJV) If thou doest well, shalt thou not be accepted? and if thou doest not well, sin lieth at the door. And unto thee shall be his desire, and thou shalt rule over him.
It is the sin of COVETING that many are dead in. It is lust or coveting that has brought forth death to those who have been drawn away with their lusts for the things of this world. Coveting after things brings hatred, division, envy and strife into the church
.DEATH. They
.those overseers of the church of God
. misuse the Scriptures in order to fraudulently gain riches from the poor in Spirit
.from the flock of God. Paul specifically highlights lust
.or coveting as THE sin that brings forth death.
(Rom 7:7 KJV) What shall we say then? is the law sin? God forbid. Nay, I had not known sin, but by the law: for I had not known lust, except the law had said, Thou shalt not covet.
8 But sin, taking occasion by the commandment, wrought in me all manner of concupiscence. For without the law sin was dead.
Coveting slays its victims
.when it is full grown it births death
.the foal of a donkey.
9 For I was alive without the law once: but when the commandment came, sin revived, and I died.
10 And the commandment, which was ordained to life, I found to be unto death.
The lust for things deceives men and kills them so that they can not live after the Spirit. But they are dead in Christ
.their sins are forgiven. This is a reversible condition.
11 For sin, taking occasion by the commandment, deceived me, and by it slew me.
12 Wherefore the law is holy, and the commandment holy, and just, and good.
13 Was then that which is good made death unto me? God forbid. But sin, that it might appear sin, working death in me by that which is good; that sin by the commandment might become exceeding sinful.
14 For we know that the law is spiritual: but I am carnal, sold under sin.
15 For that which I do I allow not: for what I would, that do I not; but what I hate, that do I.
16 If then I do that which I would not, I consent unto the law that it is good.
17 Now then it is no more I that do it, but sin that dwelleth in me.
18 For I know that in me (that is, in my flesh,) dwelleth no good thing: for to will is present with me; but how to perform that which is good I find not.
19 For the good that I would I do not: but the evil which I would not, that I do.
20 Now if I do that I would not, it is no more I that do it, but sin that dwelleth in me.
21 I find then a law, that, when I would do good, evil is present with me.
22 For I delight in the law of God after the inward man:
23 But I see another law in my members, warring against the law of my mind, and bringing me into captivity to the law of sin which is in my members.
Christ Jesus will deliver those who are in this type of death
.they will be able to rule over their sin in his revealed Truth
.in Life when He comes with His knowledge.
24 O wretched man that I am! who shall deliver me from the body of this death?
25 I thank God through Jesus Christ our Lord. So then with the mind I myself serve the law of God; but with the flesh the law of sin.
When lust or coveting has conceived, it brings forth sin and sin when it is complete, perfected brings forth death. The foal of the donkey is death.
(James 1:14 KJV) But every man is tempted, when he is drawn away of his own lust, and enticed.
15 Then when lust hath conceived, it bringeth forth sin: and sin, when it is finished, bringeth forth death.
The Law specifically says we shall not covet after another mans donkey. The Hebrew word for donkey here is chamowr and is directly related to the Hebrew word chomer which means materialism
.unbridled lust for physical things
.big church buildings, big ministries, riches, big congregations, etc. Those overseers of the church have fallen into that pit of coveting after the things of the poor
their money, their time, their things. They see other pastors being successful in their religious planting and building and so covet what they have as well. An endless cycle ensues
a death spiral.
(Deu 5:21 KJV) Neither shalt thou desire thy neighbour's wife, neither shalt thou covet thy neighbour's house, his field, or his manservant, or his maidservant, his ox, or his ass, or any thing that is thy neighbour's.
The Lord will ride upon the foal
symbolizing His triumph over this death that many have fallen into
the pit that many have fallen into. He shall pull them out of their covetousness
out of the pit of death
.on the spiritual Sabbath day. The ties of death shall not prevail. He shall loosen them so that they may serve Him.
(Luke 14:5 KJV) And answered them, saying, Which of you shall have an ass or an ox fallen into a pit, and will not straightway pull him out on the sabbath day?
The death is the offspring (foal) of lust. Jesus sits upon the foal
.meaning he triumphs over death
.the last enemy. Christs presence brings to life those who are dead in the church
. dead in their sins and trespasses. But they must cast away their works of darkness (works of covetousness) when they hear His voice in this last day...in the spiritual Sabbath Day.
(1 Cor 15:23 KJV) But every man in his own order: Christ the firstfruits; afterward they that are Christ's at his coming.
24 Then cometh the end, when he shall have delivered up the kingdom to God, even the Father; when he shall have put down all rule and all authority and power.
25 For he must reign, till he hath put all enemies under his feet.
26 The last enemy that shall be destroyed is death.
27 For he hath put all things under his feet. But when he saith all things are put under him, it is manifest that he is excepted, which did put all things under him.
All things must be subdued by Christ Jesus
.all things must be put under his feet
.just as the multitudes put their garments in the Way
laying down all imaginations of men that exalt themselves against His knowledge. All doctrines and commandments of men must be strewn in the Way
.under His feet. All religious pride must be cast down.
28 And when all things shall be subdued unto him, then shall the Son also himself be subject unto him that put all things under him, that God may be all in all.
The Lord will loose them with His command
loosen those who are dead in sin
..coveting
which causes those who live in lust to not love one another. He will bring again those who are dead in sins and will use them for His work. He will nail to the cross those handwriting ordinances that are against us
.the village that is against you.
(Mat 21:2 KJV) Saying unto them, Go into the village over against you, and straightway ye shall find an ass tied, and a colt with her: loose them, and bring them unto me.
It is no coincidence that Balaam rode a donkey
one that spoke to him
while he pursued his love for the wages of unrighteousness...the wages of sin is DEATH.
(2 Pet 2:15 KJV) Which have forsaken the right way, and are gone astray, following the way of Balaam the son of Bosor, who loved the wages of unrighteousness;
16 But was rebuked for his iniquity: the dumb ass speaking with man's voice forbad the madness of the prophet.
The donkey spoke to him
and hindered the madness of the prophet. Likewise, those rich rulers in our churches will have their riches testify against them. Their riches have served them well in the past (just like Balaam's donkey)...but will witness against them in this last day in hopes that they too will see the drawn sword of the angel of the Lord.
(James 5:1 KJV) Go to now, ye rich men, weep and howl for your miseries that shall come upon you.
2 Your riches are corrupted, and your garments are motheaten.
3 Your gold and silver is cankered; and the rust of them shall be a witness against you, and shall eat your flesh as it were fire. Ye have heaped treasure together for the last days.
4 Behold, the hire of the labourers who have reaped down your fields, which is of you kept back by fraud, crieth: and the cries of them which have reaped are entered into the ears of the Lord of sabaoth.
The Lord will ride the donkey in triumph over death
.and those who will love the Truth will also have dominion over their sin and rule with Him in Life in the Way of righteousness. But those who will continue to buy and sell in the temple
making merchandise of the church of God, He comes to cast out
.because they will have refused to hear the Truth and be saved. God will cause us who hear to triumph in Christ.
(2 Cor 2:14 KJV) Now thanks be unto God, which always causeth us to triumph in Christ, and maketh manifest the savour of his knowledge by us in every place.
15 For we are unto God a sweet savour of Christ, in them that are saved, and in them that perish:
16 To the one we are the savour of death unto death; and to the other the savour of life unto life. And who is sufficient for these things?
But those who will continue to corrupt the Word of God in their covetousness will not have His life.
17 For we are not as many, which corrupt the word of God: but as of sincerity, but as of God, in the sight of God speak we in Christ.
Death shall be swallowed in victory
.our Lord will ride upon the donkey in a triumphant entry into Jerusalem
in the wisdom of God.
(1 Cor 15:54 KJV) So when this corruptible shall have put on incorruption, and this mortal shall have put on immortality, then shall be brought to pass the saying that is written, Death is swallowed up in victory.
55 O death, where is thy sting? O grave, where is thy victory?
The sting of death is sin and the strength of sin is the Law. Thou shalt not covet
..
56 The sting of death is sin; and the strength of sin is the law.
He will give us victory over our sins
..and deliver us from the ungodly, covetous preachers of death who have the power of the grave in their deceptive preaching of the Word of God.
57 But thanks be to God, which giveth us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ.
The love of money is the root of ALL evil. Those men who have COVETED after these things have drowned in destruction and perdition
they have entered through the wide gate of ruin. But our Lord Jesus Christ will pull them out of their pit of death at the appointed time
.at His appearing.
(1 Tim 6:9 KJV) But they that will be rich fall into temptation and a snare, and into many foolish and hurtful lusts, which drown men in destruction and perdition.
10 For the love of money is the root of all evil: which while some coveted after, they have erred from the faith, and pierced themselves through with many sorrows.
11 But thou, O man of God, flee these things; and follow after righteousness, godliness, faith, love, patience, meekness.
12 Fight the good fight of faith, lay hold on eternal life, whereunto thou art also called, and hast professed a good profession before many witnesses.
13 I give thee charge in the sight of God, who quickeneth all things, and before Christ Jesus, who before Pontius Pilate witnessed a good confession;
14 That thou keep this commandment without spot, unrebukeable, until the appearing of our Lord Jesus Christ:
