I suspect that a great number of the radicals aren't even actually trans (and many of those claiming to be trans aren't even making any effort to "pass") but are using the movement for their own ends.

Blair White, a "conservative" trans woman with a YouTube channel has a lot to say about that. In her opinion (and I'll say "her" because "I calls 'em as I sees 'em"): 1. Transitioning of minors should never happen or even be discussed. 3. Men transitioned to women should not participate in women's sports if the transition happens after puberty. And, yes, point 1 still applies. In her opinion, "Some things are not for us." 3. Gender is not a social construct, gender is a real thing...as anyone who truly has gender dysphoria knows. Anyone who claims gender is a social construct does not have gender dysphoria. 4. A great number of the radicals aren't even actually trans (and many many of those claiming to be trans aren't even making any effort to "pass") but are using the movement for their own ends, including an eventual aim to normalize pedophilia.

A man who puts on a dress without any other action has no credibility as a trans woman. It is a process not solely a statement.

But that is the radical trans-woman position.

Basically she walked into a medical clinic and told them she wanted a doctor's certification that she's male and was able to get it in less than an hour just by answering the question that she's always considered herself to be more masculine and that she likes other girls and that since the past year she's been identifying as male, and then after she gets the doctor's certification that she's a male, she goes to get a legal ID and presents the doctor's certification as evidence that she's male, even though she's let her hair down, doesn't change her voice, etc. and they give her a legal ID that says she's male and are by now referring to her as "sir". And no one is going to look at her and truly believe she is a male, which was part of the point.

Yes, I have a lot of respect for Blair White and don't have a problem calling her a her or whatever she likes. She's respectful and respectful of women as well.

She's received a lot of hatred from the trans-radicals too.

What do you see as most important? The one that I believe should be at top of the list is allowing some parents to seek pre-adult medical drug therapy and/or procedures for their child if they think they are exhibiting trans like behavior.

What does "they think they are exhibiting trans like behavior" mean in practice?

Maybe the child is still in a pre-sexual state (as children should be) and is just playing out different roles? When my son was a pre-schooler, he enjoyed playing with a friend's little girl's toy stove and cooking utensils. But I was a single parent at the time, and as I watched him play, I could clearly see he was emulating my own cooking techniques. But how many parents would "think they are exhibiting trans-like behavior" just from something that simple?

Some girls just like boys' games or toys, but are still destined to be happily CIS. The should not be rushed into pre-adult medical drug therapy and/or procedures.

Some children will be homosexual...that doesn't mean they want to be rushed into pre-adult medical drug therapy and/or procedures to make them transsexual instead.

Some children or teens suffer from a traumatic event that makes them question their sexuality--sometimes even when the event doesn't have anything to do with sex. A boy who is traumatically bullied by other boys may think it's because he's not really a boy...and that may not be the issue at all. Young people who suffer trauma need to have the trauma attended to first. But that might not happen if their parents rush them into pre-adult medical drug therapy and/or procedures.

There is another YouTuber who, to look at him, might appear to be flamboyantly gay if not trending to transexual--however, he has an amazingly handsomely male voice--like those late-night jazz DJs. He says that because of his penchant for flamboyance, he had questioned his sexuality. He didn't feel gay, but people told him he must be gay....

....Until he discovered David Bowie and Prince, who were flamboyant but never considered gay. "I realized I could be fabulous...and straight!"

What you want is not the reality of what's currently going on. In fact, just by suggesting that you want screening and surgery and the like is considered "transphobic" by the trans-radicals, and those who have suggested such in the 'wrong' places have been subject to all sorts of threats and abuse.

I used to think that a transgender person was in the process of getting surgery and had at least made that level of commitment, and so I never really concerned myself about it, and so I was very shocked to later find out that all we need to do to change our "gender" was to just self-identify into it. Even Superman has to make more of an effort to become Clark Kent.

No one suggested you need to take a woman's opinion because you're also a woman, but you didn't even come close to anything other than dismissal, which does tend to be the regular experience of actual women from both other women as well as men.

A trans woman has gone through psychological evaluation, committed to live as a women and is considering or gone through hormonal treatment and possibly surgery.

Well first of all, there are no such requirements in any country that I know of for a person to be considered a transwoman. It would be nice if we had at least that, but we do not.

Second, going through a psychological evaluation doesn't make a person a woman.

And all you have left is that the person is "living as a woman" - whatever that means, and they are thinking about getting hormones and surgery. And that makes them a woman, in your view. In my view that is utter rubbish.

I would like to see legislation that addresses what can be legally considered for trans identity that goes beyond “I now identify as”.

I agree with you on your latter points, but I wonder how it can be a process if she has been a woman all along? Tell me what about it is a process?
