Race in Heaven

This may sound like a dumb question, but does race exist in heaven? If I'm white now, will I still be white in heaven?

Yes, I do believe race will be no more in heaven. We'll see each other as we really are, and what we really are shouldn't be defined by our race, because it isn't.

I think that it will exist (see Rev 7:9 as kind of a 'snap-shot') but as mentioned in 1 Cor 12:13 it will not carry the same emphasis nor importance as it does now, on earth. No one will gain nor suffer as a result of being one particular race.

This verse makes me think that the word --->race<--- is only a tool for politicians to get more power.

If you are white now, I'd say you would probably be closer to heavens door than most of us who have some sort of pigment coloring!

I really don't know what our heavenly bodies will look like.

What I do know is that the color of our skin, if it is different, won't matter even in the slightest. After all, we will be face-to-face with God in all His glory. What can compare to that!

With the discovery of DNA it has been found that there really is no difference between the races. So the theory that there are different races has been falsified.

Skin, hair and eye color is determined by melanin. Everyone has blond or red hair, blue eyes, and white skin. But the melanin is produced by the body to protect it from the sun. So the closer you live to the equator the darker your skin, hair and eyes will be. Because the rays of the sun are more direct there.

You can use peroxide and that will strip the melanin out of the hair. But they do not do that much anymore, because of the damage that it does to the hair. If I used peroxide my hair would turn red. Some people it will turn their hair blond.

That is what they use to say. If the skin is red and inflamed you better get it treated. If it turns ash or gray your in real trouble. If it turns black it is time to cut it off.

Sorry to turn this into a scientific discussion, but if this is true, why can black people and white people grow up in the same city, but still look different? Also, skin color isn't the only thing that makes races different. There are also things like the size of the lips, eyes, nose, etc that vary.

I think we will have our skin color we do now. God loves variety...that's why he created us this way. Besides, the color of our skin wont matter to us when we are in heaven. We will look deeper than the skin.

Romans 10:12 (KJV) - For there is no difference between the Jew and the Greek: for the same Lord over all is rich unto all that call upon him.
Greek can also be replaced with the word "gentile," referring to any non-Jew.

Galatians 3:28 (KJV) - There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither bond nor free, there is neither male nor female: for ye are all one in Christ Jesus.

Colossians 3:11 (KJV) - Where there is neither Greek nor Jew, circumcision nor uncircumcision, Barbarian, Scythian, bond nor free: but Christ is all, and in all.

Judging by these verses, I would say that race would be of no importance in heaven. It would no longer exist, basically. "There is neither Jew nor Greek..."

1 Samuel 16: 7 (NIV) - But the LORD said to Samuel, "Do not consider his appearance or his height, for I have rejected him. The LORD does not look at the things man looks at. Man looks at the outward appearance, but the LORD looks at the heart." (emphasis added)

I realize that race doesn't matter. I'm just wondering whether it will exist. Gender doesn't matter either, but won't there be two genders in heaven?
