CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Buber's "I and thou" is inadequate.
Our God embodies the very making of space for the Other Other.
That is why a couple who are interested in mentoring those outside the nuclear family to maturity are open to life (fruit)
(If they've enough children they can still pray)
Anyone should share in helping the maturing of all.
Some don'ts:
- don't forget to introduce and reintroduce the shy to everybody
- don't dump someone on someone you thought they already knew
Please share friendships!
That is why the pastor that doesn't just arrange things for his favourite young person behind the backs of the other elders who could have added their discernment for the benefit of the young 'un, is a better pastor to his fellows and to everyone
One hears so much about passionate sentimental (neurotic) "commitment" to one person - to the exclusion of who?
Ascending He distributed gifts differing - and this is grace abounding.
